Why do big Broadway shows always have to be musicals?

But Spider Man will have it's own technical demands. That make loading in and out of theaters more challenging and time consuming... They've been in that theater for HOW long and they are still working on the effects and stunts?

Well, that's what you solve during the initial run.

I've not seen a show on Broadway first and then compared it directly to a traveling company of the same show. My understanding is that ever since Les Mis great efforts are made to reproduce the scale and presentation, but I'd suppose that there are some compromises made based on the specific venues.


Yeah... it's going to be interesting to see what, if any, compromises they make if they tour it. I think part of what MIGHT make Spider Man successful is the spectacle of the thing. All the stunts and Julie Taymor theatricality. Take that away...
