Why Didn't Chewie Or Rey Clean The Falcon Windows?

How does that explain the dirt in the inside. The window were always nice and clean in the OT movies. Well hopefully they will clean them for the next movie.

Aside from the Falcon being a peice of Junk salvaged from a scrap yard. I suspect they had more pressing concerns than cleaning the windows such as destroying Starkiller base, finding the last Jedi Master

No I am talking about cleaning it at the end of the movie. They were in no rush to see Luke. Starkiller base was destroyed and the first order is scattered for the time being. How hard is it to take a bucket of water. soap and a sponge and clean the windows off? It would have taken them a few minutes before they left.

Jakku dust. ;)
Right. Hopefully Luke will have a few buckets and sponges in his cave. There is plenty of water. Maybe Reys first task can be Luke showing her how to wash windows. She already seems to know everything else so this would give Luke something to teach her. LOL!

According to the repair manual, the dirt acts as an insulator, protecting the Falcon from the heat of reentry.

;)

But the windows have never had dirt on them like that before especially the interior of the windows. Han kept them so clean back in the old days. They really need to give the interior of the ship and the interior windows a good cleaning. Well not to much we still want her to look like a piece of junk but a clean piece of junk would be better.

Maybe Han hadn't started trying high speed jumps into or out of an atmosphere until after Return of the Jedi.

We have no clue how well Han took care of the ship, or whether he kept it clean or not. I'm no expert on space ships, but I'd wager that the stress of leaving and returning to the vacuum of space probably leaves a ship looking pretty filthy. At least it does for space shuttles. Aside from normal wear and tear, any exterior dirt would be burned off in the atmosphere. So it seems like a kind of pointless thing to worry about.

I'm talking about the interior window dirt. Is clearly in the interior because the space slug that sucked at the window didn't move the dirt at all.

Given that it was stored on Jakku for unknown years, dust contamination would be more likely than not. Also, given the priorities of the Resistance and finding Luke, dusting would be low, low, low on the totem pole.

The ladies(Leia) had time to get some nice new fresh clothes. I think there was plenty of time to take a bucket and sponge and clean those interior windows. The new order just lost their 3rd death star I don't theink there was any threat that they were going to find Luke. The next movie is about both sides licking their wounds and both young jedis being trained.

The Falcon can be tracked. Maybe they spent some time getting rid of that old tracking device, instead of washing the windows.

Or maybe Chewie or Rey like the look.
