Besides, a species smell can be far greater than the ability for bathing can deal with. Vulcans say humans stink, though we don't think so. Some novels also establish a Klingon's sense of smell is so great, humans are quite noticeable. Remember how to some people, humans of other nationalities/races have very distinctive smells.

Humans smell bad to Vulcans probably because most humans eat meat-which can be smelt through the pores of one's skin just like garlic can. Bathing doesn't erase it for a Vulcan (incidentally, human vegetarians say the same thing about human carnivores.)It may also be that Vulcans bathe/shower everyday, or have really strong soap.

Klingons don't bathe because there probably isn't a lot of water on Kronos, and what water exists had/has to be used for drinking and not sanitation. This does not give the Klingons (Worf included, B'Elana Torres excluded) the excuse to still stink the way they do when sonic shower technology exists; they're not Fremen.

Most cardassians would do the same. Just that it would be kanar over the corpses of a billion+ klingons, Loki Dukat.

True - celebrating the death of billions (most of them civilians) is imoral/disgusting.

The klingons have no problem seeing this as honorable, though - especially with their malleable concept of "honor".

The standard cardassian's thought process would be like - the state decided that these billions of people should die? That's all I need to know. I'm glad they died - they're better off dead.

Yeah, thank you! I'm getting tired of everybody excusing stuff just because it's the Klingons who are doing it. If it were a human or a Cardassian, they would rightly get called on it, but the Klingers always seem to get a pass.

I think that if we're talking honestly about who is a dick or what race/empire is the most 'evil' then we shouldn't make excises of a particular group. In recent threads Nerys Ghemor, PSGarak, Deranged Nasat and myself have pointed out that the Cardassian Union has committed heinous crimes during the Occupation and at many other points in its long history. All I'm saying is that the same consideration should be given to the other Empires.

It's basically a question of honestly and a full historical accounting.

And yes Gowron was always a dick, after all he was a member of the High Council...
