Crusher is just a non-entity with pretty hair for me.

But her hair really WAS beautiful though wasn't it? I liked Crusher a lot

I usually pay little attention to her scenes but sit their happily admiring her hair. What a wonderful color.

More than makes up for the weird-ass way she says "croissant".

Star Trek characters are like flavors of ice cream...they're all sooooo good!

But if I had to chose an absolute favorite I would say Uhura. She's smart, beautiful, has a good job and the respect of her co-workers. A girl really couldn't ask for more.

I liked Scotty. He pulled the Enterprise out of do or die situations, he could take command when he needed to, he liked a good drink, and he could fight with the best of them. He could also polish off a box of Ho-Ho's like nobody's business.

Thank you! No, I can't take credit for my avatar. It's actually a cropped version of a larger photo posted by Frontier in the Rare photos January thread. I just love the way Archer looks with those subdued Klingon ridges.

Not sure I could narrow it down to just one character over the entire franchise, so I will go with one from each series:

TOS - Scotty (maybe being a little bias here, but you gotta love us ingenious Scots)
TNG - O'Brien (ok, he really excelled in DS9, but that would detract from yet another favourite)
DS9 - Kira (she was well written and acted and kicked serious ass)
VOY - Torres (tough and feisty)
ENT - Tucker (probably the most rounded out character of the series and the reason I kept watch--and not just because he got his shirt off every other episode)
MOVIES - Saavik (I'm thinking Kirsty Alleys version, would loved to have seen her return for TSFS and TVH)

Just realised I have an unconcious love of engineers .

I really found the supporting/recurring characters incredibly well thought out and interesting. They excited me and grabbed my attention in ways many of the regular characters didn't.

Tough choice between McCoy, Beverly, Kira and Odo. I can't make up my mind.

Man so many characters, and I only have to choose one? I think the one I would go with is Garek. There was so much about him that was developed over the course of DS9's run and he was that mult-demensional character who while you couldn't trust him, you still really liked him.

If I went with favorite character in all the series though:

Star Trek - McCoy
Star Trek: TAS - M'Ress
Star Trek: TNG - Guinan
Star Trek: DS9 - Garek
Star Trek: VOY - Kes
Star Trek: ENT - Shran
Star Trek (New Cast) - Still McCoy. Might be the most underrated character in the movie.
