Character from Star Trek? Honestly, I'd have to say that my absolute favorite character to ever grace Star Trek would have to be......... Spock. Nothing was more emotionally wrenching than Spock dying. Every damn time I watch Wrath of Khan I turn into a blubbering idiot when Spock dies.... There's not a thing about Spock that I don't love... That said, right after Spock it would have to be Data. He's one of the most entertaining characters on a tv show ever. From that quirky, crazy laugh to his poem about Spot....It almost doesn't get better than Data....
I always cry at that scene, too. The first time I saw the movie, as a child, it was so bad my brother didn't know what else to do than to promise that Spock would be back in the next movie. Spock and Data are among my favourite characters but there are so many that it's impossible to have a clear favourite for me.
I'm another one with far too many favorites for there to be a clear #1. But it would be one among these characters.... Spock, McCoy, Data, Ezri, O'Brien, Kira, Odo, The Doctor, Seven of Nine, Torres, Archer, T'Pol
Admiral Forrest from ENT. This may sound like an odd choice, but it's true. Not only is he played by my favorite actor of all time (Vaughn Armstrong), but I can definitely identify with Forrest. Probably because he reminds me so much of my dad.
7 of 9 is my favorite ever character. Janeway is my favorite captain, followed by Kirk. Weyoun is my favorite villain. Naomi Wildman is my favorite Trek Child. Soval is my favorite Vulcan. :: fans self :: Couldn't name my favorite doctor as I adore Bashir, Phlox, McCoy and the EMH though Phlox didn't get enough to do. Crusher is just a non-entity with pretty hair for me. The NX-01 is my favorite ship. Timeless is my favorite VOY ep and E2 is my favorite ENT ep. I've never been able to pin down an absolute favorite with the other series.
How do you feel he changed? But her hair really WAS beautiful though wasn't it? I liked Crusher a lot
Instead of listing their names, I will provide quotes. "The Andorian Mining Consortium runs from no one." "Especially the lies." "Assimilate THIS!" "Would this be more aesthetically pleasing if it were blue?" "Patience is a lost virtue to most. To me, an ally."
My favorites... Shall I answer chronologically? ENT: Malcolm Reed: formal and proper, an intellectual who is also a tactician. A professional. TOS: Janice Rand: So complex, underneath the "yeomanry". Her relationship with the captain...her interactions with the crewmates...her warmth and dedication. As Grace Lee Whitney herself described her character: "Sexy and efficient--but also wide-eyed, honest, and virtuous." Spock: Come on...need I say more? Sulu: Effortlessly cool--and a swashbuckling rogue, at heart. Mr. Leslie: Just for being the redshirt who broke the cardinal rule...and survived. TNG: Data: Self-explanitory. Picard: A "What TNG/TOS character are you?" poll identified me with Picard--a cultured fellow, who is a professional--and not one for relationships.... Toq: Worf's apprentice in "Birthright" was effortlessly cool, once he embraced his heritage. DS9: Okay, c'mon. You all KNOW who I'm going to say, first-- Ezri Dax: Young, and beautiful, and full of life...innocent with a backbone of integrity, and insight beyond her years...kindhearted, and possesed of the inner strength to stand of for herself, and what is right. Odo: A DS9 poll once identified me with our favorite shapeshifter. An outsider, at times with little patience for the antics of those around him...devoted to a firm and unyielding sense of justice and integrity. Oh, and a hopeless romantic beneath the hard-boiled exterior. Julian Bashir: Brillant--often struggling with the costs of that brilliance. Not afraid to have fun, and to laugh at himself. Idealistic, but (over time) tempered with mature realism. Oh, and he courted and won the heart of the magnificent Ezri Dax. Garak: Tinker...Tailor...Soldier...Spy.... Quark: Rogueish charmer, good businessman...oft-misunderstood.... Luther Sloan: What can I say? Section 31 is my admittedly-not-so-guilty pleasure. Leck the Elliminator: Just for being the coolest Ferengi EVER! Damar: Just how awesome he was HERE! Vic Fontaine: An all-around great guy, with great tastes in music. VOY: Tuvok: Logical and professional, with a sense of order I admire. And he has guts, to boot. The Doctor: Witty, wry, loveable, arrogant in a charming and playful way. Chakotay: Wise, calm and unflappable. And he's a man of faith--that's always a plus, I think.
TOS: Kirk, not just for TOS but the whole francise. TNG: Barclay and Data, the only characters that I could imagine spending time with and not be driven up the wall from sanctimonious bs. DS9: Quark and the Ferengi, and Garak, the show would be unwatchable without them. Voy: Seven of Nine for season 4, and some of 5, the rest is very hit or miss and just doesn't hold my interest. Ent: T'Pol, in concept great, but like the show the character was uneven and schizophrenic in the kinds of stories told with her. Pretty much how I feel about the whole series, this show was the most disappointing as I liked all the characters and the folks playing them, the only series other than TOS that I'd say that of.
I usually pay little attention to her scenes but sit their happily admiring her hair. What a wonderful color.
Hmm. I guess my favourites would have to be Picard, Data, Spock, and Garak. Pretty stock, I know, but they are genuinely my favourite characters. If I had to pick one favourite I think it would have to be Picard. He's wise and patient, although not without his faults. To me, he was the most authoritative and believable Trek captain.
