It's safe to say that each of the doctors are my favorite characters of their respective shows.

    I never liked him either.

He was just so obnoxious. He schtick got old really fast and yet they continued to drag it out endlessly. But since they new it would work for a movie-going audience they changed it and only made it worse.

I guess my feelings about who are my favorite characters are affected by the quality of the episodes. Some characters I want to rank highly like Picard, Data, Janeway and Seven, but they were trapped in too many bad, and too many good but lesser episodes.

    Kirk is the man.

Given that, I think one of the best characters created in Trek has been The Doctor from Voyager. More so than Data, I think his personal journey was so interesting because it was one that was not expected. He was "just a hologram", and yet he became more than his programming, much to the surprise to all those around him.

I realized I never fully answered my own question...

    TOS-Spock and McCoy
    TNG-Data, Q, Geordi, and Worf
    VOY-Neelix, E.M.H
    DS9-Garak, Gul Dukat, Weyoun, Odo
    ENT-Phlox, Commander Shran

(And I think it goes without saying that I like all of the Captains, except Janeway)

I'll third the "not such a huge fan of Data" sentiment-he was a one-note character whose "shtick" did indeed get old pretty fast, and it was disappointing to see the movies focus on him so much and ignoring a lot of the other characters.

How can you pick one? That's impossible (and flawed :p ). A lot of characters have been favourite to me at one point, I'll bold my current favourites, but they'll probably change in a week.

TOS: Spock, McCoy (didn't like McCoy on his own, but he was indispensable alongside Spock)
TNG: Data, Picard, Guinan, Ro Laren, K'Ehleyr
DS9: Odo, Kira, Bashir, O'Brien, Garak, Sisko – really, all of them are great, can't choose
VOY: B'Elanna Torres – uncontested, The Doctor should hate me for that though
ENT: Shran, honourable mentions: Reed, Tucker and Archer

And Sisko is my favourite captain right now

Neither Data nor Spock were ever my favorite Especially Data he was really really monotonus and some time I found myself thinking "Get on with the damn story Data!" and his attempts to understand human were far from interesting. At least Spock would show his emotions every once in a while

Apparently, we are allowed to pick more than one , so I'll ad:

    TNG: Ro Laren
    DS9: Kira Nerys
    VOY: Q
    ENT: Malcolm Reed
    NuTrek: James T. Kirk

I think Borg Queen is the most popular character in star trek and she is my favorite. She guides legions of drones on their mission of integration and enormous conquest.

    Too hard to choose.

Spock/Kirk/Bones tie and rotate as my favourite.

Scott/Sulu/Picard and Warf creep in there now and again.
