Sure it’s cool but and I love my Star Wars but it’s ridiculously expensive. Its more logical to spend my money on a month or two of my mortgage than pay for two nights my family may or may not appreciate.

Besides, we still just need to do Galaxy’s Edge.

I seem to remember something like this was in the original pitch they threw out at the public. A extremely immersive place were you can have an adventure and even roleplay in Star Wars.

I love Star Wars, and I love Disney World, but I'm not about to spend $6500 (after flights) for my wife, child and I to spend 2 nights there. That is crazy expensive. That is about what we spent for our last 7 nights stay there.

And how do masking rules fit into all this? Is there COVID-19 in a galaxy far, far away? Or will they just call it the Corellian Flu? :p

    No money.

Besides, this is for the young who still have a sense of play and don’t worry about looking foolish. They aren’t self conscious in the least.

    Too late for me

Disney’s Space 220 restaurant at Epcot?
Might be more my style. No directed activities.

    Watch the stars go by.

It’s the Space Odyssey we should have gotten in 2001, instead of 9/11 which turns 20 next month.

All that war money that could have been spent on space…and wasn’t.

Galactic Starcruiser should have opened in 1978. :)

I might have had a chance to enjoy it then.

A model of the Star cruiser would be nice like the toy they did of the Star speeder ride.

I would enjoy taking this trip one day, as a splurge. But I want to do so much more first.

Disney has priced riff-raff, peons and untouchables like me out of attendence.

My family's annual income is north of $75k a year. I can't afford Disney, or more accurately, I can get a better and longer vacation for a much cheaper price. At this point, I would wager an annual income of $100k or more is needed to afford a "value" Disney vacation, and that is spending the night off property.

I'm assuming they're hoping this will be a post-covid experience.

For me, it'll have to be a post, post, post-COVID experience.

Then again, it's Florida. The virus clearly will never go away there and that's how Floridians like it.

10/28/21 - bookings open up for the first six(?) months of the Starcruiser, which will launch in March of 2022.

    Get your credits ready!

Bit of a necro but one of my favorite Star Wars related sites has a review posted regarding this cruise. Since I am not planning on doing this, well, ever, I figure this is the next best thing:

The first part has a bit of a lead up, but it is only a 5 minute video, and showcases the process of getting onboard, as a bit of live journal type of a thing.

Apparently they either let the media go through or at lifted an embargo, because tons of sites have all been posting reviews and stuff for this. I really wish the extra $$$ to do this, because it looks awesome.
