Star Wars: Detours Will Finally Be Released

After 13 years, a shelved and mostly forgotten Star Wars animated series will finally see the light of day. Seth Green has confirmed that Star Wars: Detours will debut at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. Green and his fellow Robot Chicken creators made at least 39 episodes of Star Wars: Detours with input from George Lucas.

The Lucas Museum will have its grand opening in Los Angeles on Sept. 22.

Huh, never heard of it. But then I was never interested in watching Robot Chicken so perhaps that's for the best.

Wow, I never expected Detours to ever actually be seen publicly. It sounds like it will be just a few episodes only at the museum though.

I was never remotely interested in watching this, (the clips I had seen looked abysmal) but I always welcome "lost media" being released. Someone will enjoy it, so it's a win.

Robot Chicken is often very good.

But I watched some footage of Detours, and it was absolutely awful. I'll give it another chance, if it ever comes back around, but it's not something I'm going to seek out.

Anyone who complains about Disney ruining Star Wars needs to watch this trailer on a loop (or, I guess, sit in the room in the museum where some episodes are playing) until they fully remember what state Star Wars was in in 2012.

If they still won't admit it, make them play the Kinect dancing game.

Well we had some great Star Wars books in those years like Darth Plagueis for example

More to the point, a lot of people put their effort into making it, and they deserve to have their work released, regardless of our opinion of it.

A curated set of episodes, not all of them. I'm guessing George's favourites or something.
