Riker, Troi, and Guinan are the three I'd be rooting to see, in a first season. And we didn't get future Troi in "All Good Things", so that's something definitively new already. Geordi, Crusher, and Worf could cycle by after that. I'm really hoping we do not get any version of Data or B4, but I wouldn't mind Brent Spiner as some other newly discovered Soong relation.

The Wesley series write-out and random Nemesis cameo left that character in such a baffling place, I'd rather just not even touch it again.

Who has two thumbs and is everyone's favorite Trek character?

The fanboy in me wants to see them all come back, but I'm not holding my breath.

It will be a limited series with Stewart and David Warner reprising their respective roles. With Picard screaming near the end, “There are STILL FOUR LIGHTS!!!”

Joking aside, I will watch anything that David Warner's in. He and Vera Farmiga are hands down my favorite character actors. They both give 110% no matter how small the role or how shitty the project. If you told me that every episode will be written by Akiva Goldsman and directed by Alex Kurtzman, I would still watch the shit out of it if Warner was involved.

Also, Warner's recent Big Finish run as the Alt-Universe "Unbound" Third Doctor is absolutely masterful.

Data and Q would need to go the way of the CGI'd Leia treatment. Sure they could recast, but can you imagine someone else playing Data and Q?

Same would go for EMH if he shows up.

Both characters could find a reason to look older pretty easily.

They could be - Brent Spiner would look pretty tragic 'gold-faced' up - partly because of how make-up sits on the face as you get old. He would look like a past-it sea-side clown.

MY mama? YO mama!

Feasibly, any of the old crew could show up but I wouldn't want people to make comparisons to All Good Things, so I think Picard 'getting the band back together' would be a bit hokey, and probably not the direction they'll go.

Logically, Beverly makes sense as she's his oldest friend.

CGI de-ageing effects still look too Uncanny Valley, and Brent's been saying he's too old to play Data for almost 20 years now, so I don't think he'll appear (though he could do a voice-only cameo as he did in TATV).

Q they could just explain away by having him say he's adjusted his appearance to relatively match Picard's age (which is something he could have been doing all along, DeLancie looked noticeably older by his last appearance than he did in Farpoint, after all). I'd love him to appear, but again I don't think he will.

Part of me almost doesn't want any other TNG characters to appear, to have the show focus solely on Picard, but the fanboy in me wants them all to show up - and the new 'Powers That Be' have shown they're not averse to a bit of fan service.
