Who wants this movie on home video NOW?

I went again last night.

All I could think of at first was "I want this. I want to take it home with me. NOW."

Anyone else here hoping that rumor about it coming out in July is true? I know a later date is more likely, but still...

Yes, I've wanted to take it home with me after each viewing! :p

But um, July?! I hadn't heard that. That seems highly unlikely and waaaay too soon (even if in this day and age movies hit dvd sooner than they use to). I would think it'd come out sometime in the fall (probably near a holiday to help boost dvd sales, not sure though).

Yes... I want it now. The release date I saw was mid-November. My brother and I always get DVDs for each other at Christmas. I've already told him I expect this to be under my tree.

I'm sure I can get a street copy if I desire...a nice lady sells them on a gorgeous blanket that's ready to be folded up and spirited away in a moment's notice up the block. Shall I take orders? Of course there will be a handling fee attached to each order.....naturally.

i do want it now. but i also want it to play as long as possible, maybe even rerelease it a little later to milk it. day one purchase for sure.

If these copies exist in the quality they're purported to be in, why do they never end up on the torrent system until months after the cinema release, and only a month or two before the legit release?

I'd pay good money to have Trek on Blu-ray right now.

I'm sorry but "copies of the movie" and the word "quality" do not belong in the same sentence.....:p

I.....erm...acquired a copy via...um...a means that cannot be spoken.

The quality was pretty good but it was still shit. I didn't watch more than a couple of minutes of it.

Bring on the DVD!

Of course, there are those pesky clauses in the board rules about intellectual property and solicitation. Probably best not to start taking orders just yet.

At my local Cinemark all shows are $2.75 before 6:00. I've seen plenty of those flea market DVDs, save yourself some time and money and watch it on the big screen without all the jaggies. You never see everything in those crummy disks.

I know that Cinemark - that place is a dump.

But, its also the only movie theater in Erath County, so, what can ya do?

I want the DVD, I want the extras, I want deleted scenes...and if they can get Nimoy to do a commentary & see if he mentions his trip to Austin, that would just be super.
