I think the answers lie in the quality of the games, the screen size, and mostly it eating up 6 AA batteries every 5 hours.It's weird how the Lynx form factor failed and yet we have the Switch which is quite similar in nature but bigger screen
There's no doubt about that playing a part of the Gameboy success but historically I feel like if the Lynx hadn't happened we would likely have had to wait longer for things like the Gameboy and its successorsI think the answers lie in the quality of the games, the screen size, and mostly it eating up 6 AA batteries every 5 hours.
Market leader Game Boy, despite no colour and a blurry screen, 4 AA batteries every 15-30 hours.
