Yeah, probably

I voted "Not my preference, but I don’t mind them together" because it was the closest to my opinion...
basically i couldn't really care... together or not together, it doesn't make a difference to me... as long as the writers do a good job of it, i couldn't care if Spock was making passes at Janice Rand lol

I am betting on them breaking up next film. For some dramatic and high minded reason. I would have speculated that they will kill off Uhura but since she was the only woman left after they offed Gaila (presumably) and Amanda and dropped Winona they can't really do that. She is their only woman left, though I presume there will be more in ST:XII.
And the Charlie X scene where Spock can be ambiguous right back.Okay here we have FLIRTATION followed by a conflict in which Spock essentially says what he said in ST:XI.
"My demonstration of concern will not change what's happened."
"If crew morale is better served by my roaming the halls weeping, I will gladly defer to your medical expertise."
Only in ST:XI he's young, and given to sarcasm. By the TOS era he's lost all patience with this kind of human demands and he's curt and to the point.
It will just suck if trek was all about kirk/bones/spock and if women character are just there to be killed off.
By the way.... you're not a true Spock/Uhura fan unless you have the official Star Trek Spock/Uhura Mr. Potato Head set!!![]()
But but but.. what about Uhura and Scotty getting it on in ST:V?!
That's not what the original Spock would have done, also don't forget Spock was betrothed. In the original series if Uhura made a pass at him Spock would let her down easily, but he would let her down. Spock grew and developed as he grew older and became less reluctant to show his feelings, but I think it all happened too quickly in this movie, not that I object to the couple, it just does not seem in character for Spock, that's all.Uhura is an extremely smart and attractive woman (both versions) so why wouldn't Spock be attracted? Liking Human women is in his genes.![]()
But this is the younger, less jaded Spock. He's fresher and hotter. And he's not yet infatuated with Kirk so he has room for the beautiful Uhura.
More het, nah, NuSpock is even slashier with nuKirk than TOS Spock/Kirk. (Oh, wait, that was a typo...huh? You meant HOT, not heteroI didn't expect it, but its a good addition to the story, especially for Spock, and I guess it's good on balance for Uhura, too, although I'd prefer they'd have improved her character without resorting to the obvious route of hooking her up with one of the guys.

Yes, Quinto's spock is more het than Nimoy's.![]()
46 years ago today, Uhura was shamelessly flirting with Spock in "Mantrap." Tell me about the moons on your world, etc.
About time they finally got together!![]()
