Spoilers Who is the Borg Queen?

I foresee Agnes and the Borg Queen eventually having a mental battle that ends with the original Queen's consciousness eradicated or fully subsumed.

What I want to know is: if the Borg Queen can take any body, does she eventually alter that body to resemble her own? Has she body swapped with anything but clones of herself in the past?

I already had a suspicion the Queen from the first episode was Jurati ever since Rios mentioned her fascination and ease of interaction with cybernetics than with flesh and blood people (something which I can relate to in fact).
And of course, we know the Queen from the Confederacy timeline was impressed by Jurati - which only further cemented this idea.
And now that the Queen managed to get her personality inside Jurati's head... I have a suspicion it will be Agnes indeed but on a personality level a merger of her and the Borg Queen resulting in a different Collective we saw in the first episode (if you recall, the Queen was also stunning the SF crew, not killing them - and she didn't assimilate them... just their systems).

Sorry guys, I didn't see this one until just now.
The masked Borg Queen from Stargazer is an resurrected Elnor using a voice modulator.

You can all thank me later when I'm proven right in Episode 10.

Anything else you need help with? :D

I’m hoping that the Borg Queen transfers her ass back out of Agnes Jurati! I guess that on the plus side of this development we should see some sassy back and fourth banter/bickering between these two characters over the course of the next few episodes.

I guess if the Borg Queen transfers her consciousness in to a new host when physically killed (it seems similar to Spock transferring his Katra to McCoy in TWOK), it means that Seven of Nine can never become the Borg Queen, because if she did it would mean that the essence of an ‘evil’ Birg Queen would always be in her mind and be the force driving her actions?

Maybe Picard’s ancestor is the Borg Queen and that explains why she is so depressed?

Not that she wants to, anyway.

She walked away from being Queen of the Cube (it was too close to the Collective for comfort).

It seems kind of odd that the Queen would be riding shotgun here. Wouldn't her Borg technology allow her to take control almost immediately? Unless she wants to ride shotgun?

Seven, Picard, and Agnes are aware of that (the Borg tried to seize control of the Stargazer and the fleet).

They're keeping the Queen on a short leash.

I meant her existence within Jurati. She says she can take the officer's body, but that she would prefer Jurati's. When the Queen succeeds in transferring her consciousness into Jurati, she doesn't seize control; rather, she remains as a "passenger."

Well if the Queen is indeed a passenger, all that Jurati needs to do is put her feet on the pedal and make sure that the Queen doesn’t have her seatbelt on as she hits the proverbial fourth wall? She would go flying through the view screen like in Nemesis when the Romulans attacked the bridge of the Enterprise and the hull breached. In fact, maybe that would be a good basis for part of their storyline together in Picard? Let’s get them on a live streamed, fourth wall breaking Star Trek episode, where Whoopie Goldberg can star as herself (not Guinan) on her actual American talk show interviewing Jurati, who thinks that she is the Borg Queen and also that she has her AI pet cat Spot uploaded in to her head too for company? Either that or Jurati ends up in an asylum like Ben Sisko did in ‘Far Beyond the Stars’ being interviewed by a psychiatrist played by Q instead of Whoopie?

Q could arrange this as part of one of his games/trials…

Whoopie Goldberg could then stab Q with a fork, which explains why Guinan did in TNG at long last. :bolian:

Been lurking for about 22 years. Time to post a fan theory about how this all ends. Forgive me if someone already posted this, I haven’t read all the posts in all the threads.

We know Q is dying and wants to bring meaning to his life. Maybe helping Picard fix the Borg threat Q has been preparing them for will count. But the humans once again are too small minded to see the chance for peace and will probably never trust the Borgs peace offering. Didn’t I warn Picard a bunch of times about opening his mind to possibilities?!!!

Soooooo, now Q has to create a new scenario where Picard learns his lesson AND we get a peaceful Borg queen. Penance time for Picard. Q chan he’s the past to create a scenario where Picard AND the old Borg Queen must go back in time. Why? Because we need a human Borh hybrid that will bring peace. Like say maybe the genetically modified daughter of a mad scientist that could only exist before the feds ban generic experimentation.

Meanwhile, Picard learns a lesson about letting go of the past pains and opening his mind (again) and when they all get back peace is possible. Q can then die happy.

Bonus theory: maybe also teach the recently less open minded Federation how to be optimistic again.

Bonus theory 2: maybe Picard can then have a relationship and continue his family line which clearly has had a big impact on history. He’s a synth now after all.

I would love the idea of the Borg's overture of peace being legit. Last episode we learned it's the Queen's lonliness that drives her to assimilate everyone and eveything, but what she's always wanted - an equal - she'll never have though forced enslavement. We could be seeing the beginning of the end of the Borg, a Queen who learns peaceful coexistence and friendship means more than force and domination.

Oh who am I kidding, it'll end in pewpew and boomboom, but I can dream.

I have severe doubts the Borg Queen is going to have an epiphany, not while she's going all axe murderer in the penultimate chapter. Her consciousness needs to be destroyed.
