I have not yet seen it and was wondering who else had not and their reasons for not going. I myself don't drive and the nearest show is 10 miles away and will hopefully see it in a week or two.

I didnt want to see yesterdays midnight showing or todays showing simply because I don't know whose gonna dress up in klingon/star trek gear and I'd rather not be associated with that. Plus, NBA playoff games on tonight. I will see it tomorrow or Sunday.

For pete's sake, it JUST opened. Not EVERYONE is rushing out to see it opening day...

He is a two hour drive from me or I would have. We normally go together but the timing was bad for him to came to my area.^^ You should've asked for a lift.
I live in a rural area were most movies stay only two weeks or so. If you wait you do not see it a lot of the time.I have not yet seen it and was wondering who else had not and their reasons for not going. Hear, hear!
I think this is a particularly American phenomenon that when a movie opens everybody MUST rush to the FIRST NIGHT showing and see it all at once. It's that instant gratification thing that I saw in a lot of Americans when I was there in '01 and '02. A friend had the lastest X Box system that had come out a few months before and was SLOBBERING over the next playstation that was coming out and would supersede that last he had bought only eighteen months before.
It's like they are falling over themselves to NOT be that last person to see something or get something new.
I promised my dad I wouldn't go see it until I returned home from college, so we could go see it together. He promised me he wouldn't go see it till then either, despite the fact that he can hardly wait much longer. This will be the most epic of all father/daughter outings ever!![]()
