Mr. and Mrs. Tucker

They were married in the alternate reality.

They were always kind of awkward together, you could tell neelix felt he had to isolate her from the rest of the crew and she was always wanted more freedom. He was always trying hold her back.

Kes and Neelix was odd to me, but didn't bug me much. I just wondered why they paired Tinker Bell with a cat-man. However, I agree that when they broke up, it got pretty creepy, especially when Neelix tried to gnaw off Tom Paris' face over Kes.

How come?
To me it always felt that he was a predator and she was someone he groomed. It was only in "The Gift" that there actually seemed to be some genine affection between them, though more as friends than anything romantic.

I never got a predator vibe from Neelix. What would make you say that?

Desperate, ultrapossessive, and always knowing he was way out of his league, yes, but predator no. It'd be a like a mouse pursuing a canary to think of their relationship as sexual predator-prey. Neelix was a whiny mouse.

That Kes was a young adult - only a year old - does add to the predator vibe for some people.
I think Kes was an adult by Ocampa standards, so i don't feel that way, but it's a fairly common fan held opinion.

It was seriously creepy.

Something tells me that it was never romantic on Kes' end. She agreed to it, out of gratitude for being taken away from the horrible Kazons and their atrocious manners. But gratitude only gets you so far. She discovered that if she didn't do anything about it. Neelix would be the last person in her life and that would scare any normal person...

I agree. Using the 'she's only two' (or whatever) argument means that even as an old lady (at nine), she'd be too young? :wtf:

People are applying human standards to her. That, and the hypersensitive reaction these days that any adult in the same vicinity of a child is automatically, without a doubt, a predator. Caution is understandable, and I'm not saying they aren't out there, but assuming that everyone is is over-caution to the point of societal paralysis. I'm surprised it doesn't come up in dicussion here regarding Naomi Wildman.

To me the creepy part isn't their relationship (whatever it entailed), it's that it was Neelix, period.

I don't count Kira and O'Brien! Ack.

Worst ones are Seven and Chakotay (NO set up for it at all, completely random) and Troi and Worf.

I loved T'Pol and Trip together, however I also would have liked T'Pol with Archer.

I'm confident that Worf and Troi never broke up during TNG's run, unfortunately, I don't recall if their relationship was ever brought up in DS9, when he first arrived there (or at all, actually). Having become a Long Distance Relationship, though, he would've had to have done the expedient thing, eventually and accepted that Deanna was now Geographically Unqualified ... as in too much gas for the ass. I certainly can't picture Worf having much endurance on the phone, talking for hours with all that "I miss you" stuff ...

I don't really think Kira and O'Brien counts, but if it had become something, it would have been far less creepy than Kira-Bareil or the brief Kira-Bashir (ironically, given that the actors would marry).
