I have a theory that Justin Bieber was actually 'born' as an Internet meme who achieved sentience and escaped into the real world. Kind of like the serial killer Sid 6.7 in Virtuosity. Only more dangerous.

I think this is probably a more interesting origin story than his real one. He should go with it.

There are a significant number of his younger fans that scare me, though. Again, true with just about any celebrity, but still, reading about girls weeping that he got arrested, willing to be arrested in his place, and it just gets crazier from there. It's about as disturbing as the women who told Chris Brown he could beat them anytime. Some people just scare the shit out of me with such slavish devotion.

Not to defend him at all, but I think back when you were 20 years old, and now add a ton of money in the bank, fast cars, a big mansion, people telling you how great you are, and a whole lot of time on your hands; I'd probably end up being a major douche too. So the latest reports are the video of the area with the egging don't show Beiber and he didn't brag about doing it via text message. There's also a report that the camera for the drag race show he wasn't speeding. All from celebrity gossip mags, so take for what they are worth. Still in trouble for the DUI, I would think.

Well, is it really racing if you go the speed limit? It's hard for me to think of the difference between that and normal driving.

I'm a little bothered he would be charged with resisting arrest for an arrest that isn't being charged. Granted, it doesn't sound like they can sustain the DUI charge and the rest is petty, but I'd rather they charge the underage drinking, no license, and possible baby dui rather than resisting an arrest for nothing without force (I.e., being a dick while being arrested).
