It is Plemmons, from the Black Mirror episode USS Callister.
I was aware of the other nickname but am too nice to make fat jokes.
Thanks to both of you. I used the magic Interwebs box to find this out after I posted.
I thought Plemons said he kept the weight that he gained for Black Mass on for his role in Fargo only because the Fargo producers wanted his character (and Kirsten Dunst's charcetr) to be a bit on the chunky side.

^ Spock wasn't the XO of the Enterprise until AFTER "Where No Man Has Gone Before" (in "The Cage", the XO was Number One; in WNMHGB, it was Gary Mitchell), so I don't see why he'd be one now.
Pike isn't famous enough. It's gonna be Kirk's adopted sister. Or Scotty's stepbrother. Or McCoy's ex-wife. Or Picard's time-travelling clone (cue Tom Hardy's 4-episode arc).
Oh boy, who was XO in WNMHGB is a serious rabbit hole that has plagued fandom for a while. Even the novels can't keep it straight.
If Spock is in command in DSC, he must be totally incompetent judging by how he handled things later on in "The Galileo Seven". Before someone says, "Who cares about the canon?!" Yeah, yeah, I know. But a Spock who's a horrible Captain no matter how well he tries to handle things would be good for conflict. Especially if no one gets along with him.
There were several episodes, "The Gamesters of Triskelion", "The Tholian Web", "The Paradise Syndrome", and "That Which Survives" where the crew gave Spock a lot of shit for the way he commanded, especially McCoy. So, it's not like he becomes much better at command later on in the series either.

And retcon Sybok a nice successful Starfleet career prior to going barmy, which nobody thought to bring up in Star Trek V.
