(O'Brien throws his comm. badge away and runs. Around a corner, a forcefield blocks him. He goes to a panel and opens it)

 

[LeadHead]

O'Brien sees 3 forcefields on the display.

O'Brien: Making it tough for me, huh? Fine. You want forcefields? I'll give you forcefields.

O'Brien uses the control panel and forcefields begin activating all around him, cascading outward.

O'Brien: There. Now, you want to get me, you'll have to release them all.

All forcefields disengage.

O'Brien: Thank you.

O'Brien keeps moving, in another corridor, Jake exits a room nearby.

O'Brien: Jake, are you okay?

 

[HarryM]

JAKE: Yeah.

 

[LeadHead]

O'Brien: Good. Listen to me. Something isn't normal around here. Your dad, the others, something's happened to them! You and I are the only ones who can help.

 

[HarryM]

(Jake uses a comm panel)

JAKE: (into comm) Jake Sisko to Security. He's here. Level H two, section five. (to O'Brien) It'll be okay. Just surrender to them and you'll be fine.

(Then Jake runs off. O'Brien gets into a conduit)

 

[LeadHead]

Odo: Spread out. Check all quarters. Advise people to stay where they are and not to let anyone in.

 

[HarryM]

SECURITY: Yes, sir.

(O'Brien starts climbing an access ladder and drops his phaser. He reaches a higher level and crawls along another conduit to the Cargo Bay)

[Cargo bay]

(O'Brien climbs down a handy staircase of cases and uses the cargo transporter to beam into the Runabout)

 

[LeadHead]

O'Brien goes to the Port hatch, seals the runabout and detaches the moorings. O'Brien sits down at the pilots seat, preparing for launch.

Sisko: (over comm) Shut down your engines.

 

[HarryM]

O'BRIEN: Sorry, Commander. I have no intention of doing that.

 

[LeadHead]

Sisko: (on the monitor) You will not be allowed to leave. I repeat, Shut down your engines, now.

 

[HarryM]

O'BRIEN: If you check your systems, you'll find that the mooring clamps are already unlocked and your tractor beams are offline. O'Brien out. Shields up!

(The runabout leaves the station, and DS9 fires at him twice)

O'BRIEN: Are the shields holding, Computer?

 

[LeadHead]

Computer: Shields at 71 percent.

Another hit.

Computer: Warning. Shields at 49 percent.

 

[HarryM]

O'BRIEN: Transfer emergency life support power to shield generators.

 

[LeadHead]

Computer: Transfer Complete.

 

[HarryM]

O'BRIEN: Shield status.

 

[LeadHead]

Computer: Shields at 93 percent.

 

[HarryM]

(more weapons fire hits the runabout)

O'BRIEN: Full impulse, heading four one mark three three-zero.

 

[LeadHead]

Computer: Confirmed.

 

[HarryM]

O'BRIEN: Computer, open a subspace channel to Starbase four zero one. Priority one, Admiral Rollman.

 

[LeadHead]

Computer: Standby.

Mrs. Leonard Nimoy comes on screen.
