Which Trek character would you want to marry?

This is just from Kirk's era, except one.

Marlena Moreau (both versions), Helen Noel, Mira Romaine, Andrea(yes the android), that unnamed officer sitting on the bridge in The Cage, Lieutenant Palamas, Yeoman Ross, Yeoman Barrows, Miramanee, Nona, Drusilla, and Vanna.

Notice that I said AND not OR. There's no room for monogamy on my ship.

We're talking about marriage here, not no-strings-attached fucking (since we're surely not using a thread just to reduce women to sex objects).

{Emilia} brings up a valid point.

Let's not have this thread deteriorate into ranking and objectifying people.

Think more about character traits and compatibility, for example. The question is about marriage, not about sex.

Thanks

Not that I approached the question this way, but Star Trek characters, especially women, generally aren't written in a way that would let us know what they would be like in a relationship. Outside of the main cast, many choices will probably seem shallow.

While I do agree that the characterization of women in Star Trek has mostly been very lacking, it is not an excuse for sexual objectification on this site. ;)

Sounds like there is no reason for this topic to exist, then.

Samantha Wildman.

You want to talk compatibility? Well, I believe we would have it. She is somebody to whom I could not only be a husband and a lover, but also a friend.

(To put it another way: We wouldn't just love each other, we would like each other as well. :techman: )

Is it not possible that some people here are only looking for a "trophy" in a spouse? I wish we were all more sophisticated than that, but I suspect sex appeal will be the overwhelming criteria by which they would make such a decision. I think the questions can still be answered honestly and respectfully, and I would encourage people to question eachother's choices.

There's a reason we don't have Babe of the Week threads anymore. They were killed off to discourage sexual objectification on this site because it made it a toxic environment for women. (Spoiler: Sexism is no better than racism.)
@1001001 has merely pointed out that this thread is no exception and shouldn't deteriorate into objectification.

Now back to the actual topic:
I suppose I could imagine a relationship with Riker. He's caring, funny, intelligent and witty. Seems like a great guy for the most part. :)

Probably Seven of Nine, becasuse she is just as perplexed by humanity as I am, and just says things rationally without pretense. B'lanna is nice and outspoken too, so is Kira. If I was a fun loving space pirate I would marry Mirror Kira, and conquer the galaxy together.

Wait, you would marry a woman you don't even know the name of? Let alone anything about her character? That seems pretty extreme. :o

Marriages have been that way for thousands of years.

MCCOY: But we're strangers to each other.
NATIRA: But is not that the nature of men and women? That the pleasure is in the learning of each other?

I forgot to add Yeoman Colt to my wives. I never understood why the Talosians insisted that Pike only select ONE female. Just select all three.
