Well, what I meant about redoing a bad episode wasn't a verbatim "refilm the script" thing, but remake it knowing what failed and fixing it using hindsight. Episodes that had decent concepts but failed in the end. That sort of thing. Not that I want anyone to remake anything, just that, if someone were to remake them, don't tamper with the classics. Since Trek fans are a demanding lot, screwing with classic episodes is inviting tons of crabbing.
But, honestly, why waste the time and courting litigation by remaking episodes? Create your own stories, make them well, and there will be tons of satisfaction.
