Which past season of the Office could have served as its final season?

I did not like most of Season 6 or the first episodes of Season 7 and I fear that the show is going to continue to go downhill as Season 7 progresses. It makes we miss the good, old days of the Office which resulted in the creation of this thread. If you can choose one of the show's previous seasons to end the show after, which would you choose and why?

I would choose either Season 5 or Season 3. Season 5 because it left us with the happiness of Jim and Pam's assumed pregnancy, a surprising moment of maturity for the usually childish Michael Scott,and the hope that Michael and Holly will get back together one day. Season 3 because it wrapped the show more or less with the last scene giving us all Jim/Pam fans smiles on our faces as we get to see the beginning of something we've been waiting for, for a while.

Jim and Pam's wedding was the last episode that I really enjoyed. That would have served as a great series finale, but the show was starting it's downward slide before then. Tack that episode on to the end of season 5 and I would have been ok with it.
I watched the first few episodes this season and then bailed out after Andy's Play. It's just not good anymore.

Yes. If they'd ended with the wedding it would have been a solid series with one weak season.

I like your idea, Kirby. Personally I think adding the wedding episode to the end of Season 5 wouldn't have changed things much.

I've really been enjoying this season so far. Last season did have some weaker ones, no doubt, but I've enjoyed all of this season's with "Andy's Play" being the lesser of the bunch but still good for some laughs.
