I like both a whole heck of a lot. I voted for ST6 just 'cause I knew it wouldn't get much love compared to ST2.

The Search for Spock was the best, but The Motion Picture was the most believable ... and the most beautiful. The Wrath of Khan is, perhaps, overrated in my opinion, but what it did best was it was properly edited, which I don't feel the rest of the entries ever really were. The rest of the franchise kind of just feels like movies that got abandoned, if you like. But The Wrath of Khan's original theatrical release was edited quite brilliantly. Unfortunately, I do feel that the Mutara Nebula cat and mouse sequences padded the movie, a bit, but I understand that they had no money. They had to milk this segment for all it was worth and the editing really $aved it, because after the first couple viewings, these scenes do not have much rewatch value. The rest of the classic series movies just suck.

Really hard to decide between TWOK and TUC. But as I have to make a choice, I go with TUC.

Since TMP is my favorite, I'm quite all right with the amount of love it is getting.

I'm a big history buff and the way they tackles the Cold War issue was just superb, love every second of that film.
