At least it has votes.

With 4 votes as of now, they are double DISCO.

I don't think that's a fair measure of "quality," though. People generally equate "their" version of a franchise with the nostalgia associated with where they found their entry into fandom.

I doubt anyone on this board, who actively participates enough to see this poll and vote in it, had their "entry" into the franchise with DSC or any of the P+ series. That doesn't mean there aren't fans who found this as their entry point...but it means the liklihood that they frequent this message board is extremely low.

Exactly.

"What is 'Your' Star Trek?" is NOT remotely the same question as "What is the 'Best' Star Trek?"

It's not about quality; it's about which Trek you imprinted on back in the day. No surprise that long-time fans, of the sort who frequent this message board, consider earlier generations of Trek "their" Trek.

Someone voted for TAS.

That’s all I need to know…

Although DS9 is the one I've watched through the most times, TNG was my first Trek and the one I grew up on. It ran on WCVB (Channel 5, Boston) on Saturday nights at 7 and was my family's weekly ritual from elementary school to 8th grade. We would listen to the first hour of "A Prairie Home Companion" during dinner, then switch to TNG when it came on.

Don't even think about it here....

TOS = Those Others Suck. :p

Thanks, I needed a laugh.

For me...
Totally my Trek: TOS movies and TNG. The TOS movies, especially 1-4, were my first exposure to Star Trek, and they stuck. And TNG was the first series I watched heavily.

Very much my Trek: DS9, Voyager, and Lower Decks. DS9 was a bit of a culture shock, with its darker tone, but I soon learned to appreciate it. Voyager would actually be a tier higher, if not for the painful level of sloppiness on the showrunners' part. And as someone who writes parody fanfiction, I'm obviously going to appreciate LD.

Sort of my Trek: ENT, TOS, and Prodigy. Enterprise is still Berman era Trek, but I didn't like how it wasn't really a prequel (transporters, photon torpedoes, etc). TOS was sometimes hard to get used to with the sexism and cheesy effects. And while Prodigy is beautiful and I love a lot of the characters, it's a kid's show.

Not Really my Trek: DIS and PIC: I'm trying to struggle through Picard S2 because I like the characters, but it's a struggle at times. I tried to get into DIS each of the first three seasons and petered out all three times. I absolutely reject the ridiculous notion that these shows are not "real" Trek... they're just not my preference.

Haven't seen enough for a solid opinion: Kelvin movies, Short Treks, TAS.

Vary from entry to entry: The TNG movies. First Contact is top tier. Nemesis is crap. The other two are in between.

I think it would have been better if he wasn't Spock's brother. That really didn't add anything. He could have been an old friend from school or something.
Agreed. In my headcanon, Sybok was a fellow Kolinahr initiate who Spock bonded with between TOS and TMP, and Kirk & McCoy thinking he was Spock's literal brother was just a screw up of the universal translator. ;)

I think you have to grade TFF on a bit of a curve. Shatner had to deal with several obstacles that II-IV didn't have to deal with: the 1988 Writer's Strike, not getting his first choices for screenwriters (novelist Eric Van Lustbader, then Nicholas Meyer), special effects house (ILM), and guest actor (Sean Connery). He also had the handicap of no dangling plot elements from ST II-IV to pick up on. With all of that working against him, I think Shatner did a yeoman's job. But yeah, I wish someone had pushed him into a better story and told him that ILM's B or C team would still be better than Bran Ferren. As it is, STV is on a par with a disappointing third season episode.
