I still haven't warmed up to those stubby nacelles on the NuTrek Ent-A. They look like deformed snail antennae or something.

Is it wrong for me to say how pleased I am that the TOS-cast Enterprises (the TOS original, the refit, and the -A) outshine all of the others combined in the poll right now?

Nope. I'm glad to see the Kelvin Enterprises falling flat on their nacelles. Highest grossing movie or not, they are truly unimpressive and won't stand the test of time.

i genuinely don't understand the pleasure in tearing down one facet of a franchise you're supposed to love.

of course not, these things are not mutually exclusive. not my favorite, but mad respect for the OG.

I don't think the original TOS enterprise has stood the test of time. Hence my ranking of it near the bottom. I'm not glad of this though.

I think you mean -D, not -A

It makes sense most chose the Enterprise they grew up with.

I suspect Adam West's and Michael Keaton's Batmobiles score similarly highly in Batman forums.

No, I did mean the "A". At the time I wrote this, the combined votes of the TOS Enterprises (original, refit, A) were more than all the other options combined.

Perhaps, though I went for the refit even though I grew up on re-runs of TOS.As for which batmobile is best I can picture the one from the TV show, the 1st Burton batman movie and the Nolan batmobile the ones from the sequels to the Burton Batman movie not so much.

The Enterprise D! I saw the TOS Enterprise first in repeats but the D is the one I followed from start to finish, she was my first Star Trek model kit, I had a cutaway poster showing the interiors and the technical manual, she's a huge part of my childhood.

It was a toss-up for me between the TMP Enterprise and the TNG Enterprise-D. But the Ent-D won.

1701-D. It's what I grew up with. At first I was impressed by 1071-E but as I've gotten older I've come to hate that they felt the need to replace rather than simply refit the Ship from the series. In many ways the 1701-D was as much a unique part of the feel of TNG as any of the cast and the three other movies miss her presence.
