I don't know... I think the Troipedo would be useful as an orbital bombardment device. It does have a nasty habit of slamming into planets for no apparent reason after all.

But the Troicorder might be fun at parties. Scan and psychoanalyze your friends, push the button and get a diagnosis in Troi's voice. Also useful for those with a betazoid counsellor fetish.

With such a large attraction to big dangerous ojects, maybe it could be used to clear sectors of navigational hazards: AsTROId fields for instance...
