Which era of Star Trek would you rather see continue?

I mean, when I rank the official shows (discounting both after-shows) I generally go:
1 TOS/TNG/DS9
2 Lower Decks
3 Short Treks
4 TAS/Enterprise/Voyager
5 Discovery
6 Picard

So the original series and two of the Berman era shows top my list and two of the new shows are on the bottom. On the other hand I like two of the new shows more than half the Berman era and TAS. So...where does that put me in the new vs. old debate? How will that change when Strange New Worlds and Prodigy start up? I've liked Discovery a little more each season; will that pass TAS/Enterprise/Voyager before it's done? How do fan films/shows factor in, especially once more start taking from the new shows? What about the expanded universe, especially stuff that encompasses all eras like Star Trek Online?
It depends on how you weigh each show. Only you can answer the question.

If it was really worth your effort, you could assign a number value between 1 and 10 for each show (measuring how much you value each show) and then add those values up to get a total value of each era in the poll.

For me, it is definitely easier to choose because I like everything from the former era better than the latter era.
If you want to look at it like that, then: TOS reruns, the first four movies, TNG on TV, and the Abrams Films.

The End. Without those four, the franchise as we currently know it isn't possible.

TAS, Movies 5-10, DS9, VOY, ENT, DSC, PIC, LD, and Short Treks are secondary in importance when it comes to the overall existence of The Franchise. Not the same as "not important", but secondary nonetheless.

EDITED TO ADD: Bear in mind, I just called a good amount of what I like "secondary", so this isn't based on my tastes. It's based on my reading of the history of Star Trek.

Without TOS's success in reruns, it doesn't return as a film series. Without those first four films proving Star Trek can be more than just a show from the '60s, you don't have demand to bring it back as a show for the '80s in the form of TNG. Without TNG, you don't have DS9, VOY, and ENT. Without the Abrams Films, you don't have evidence Star Trek can be brought back from the dead, and then you don't have any of the Streaming Series.
It's more about which styles of Trek shows you enjoyed watching most than it is about which show was the building block of other shows. That is what I was really trying to get at. We enjoyed the former era because we became accustomed to the styles of those shows (and those shows set a precedent).

Nah, I'll stick with my original answer: it's a false dichotomy and it's all a continuation of TOS no matter how much I like or dislike the specific shows.

What do I enjoy? Any episode or film that I gave a rating of 7 out of 10 or higher. ;)

And a few guilty pleasures that technically I rated lower, but still like anyway. "Spock's Brain" and "The Naked Now" being the two most prominent examples.

The era that I want to see return: Star Trek in the late-'70s. I love the model work and cinematography of the late-'70s. Plus TMP was definitely a New Hollywood movie in spirit, as opposed to Modern Hollywood.

But that ain't ever going to happen and I'm not going to demand it because I know that's not realistic. So I don't pretend as if it is.

Plus TMP came out the same year I was born, so I feel a strange sort of connection to it, and a time that I was technically around for, but can't remember at all. It's mysterious to me on a personal level that other time periods aren't. "What was the world I came into like?"

Your suggestion may not be realistic because most fans didn't like it. Never say never, I guess though. Most fans did like the majority of the former Trek era shown in the poll though.

The only way they'll go back to the TMP Era is through a Neo-TMP Era, where Paramount decides to continue having at least one 23rd Century show and eventually work their way back up to when TMP is set. Though it would understandably be done in the style of something from around 2030, if they make it that far, and not something from the end of the '70s.
