I highly doubt it. They are not beholden to stick to a 15-year-old fan-created design made for the same continuity of novels that PIC has just actively invalidated.

I always had the impression that the Titan was a brand new ship of a new class that was even larger and more powerful than the Sovereign class, hence its name (‘Titan’ evokes big and powerful. They’re freakin’ Greek gods, for Pete’s sake.) Pocket Books, however, made the odd decision that the ship was named for a moon and wanted it to be small, which I don’t believe was the original intention behind the name. I of course have no proof of that other than my opinion.

Yes that's the reason I thought of a Galaxy class for the Titan, a big and powerful ship, that and I could just see Riker finally in command of a Galaxy class.

The Sovereign class is actually quite a small ship, although it's the longest (due to the nacelles) it's around the same height as a Constitution class and has less volume than the Ambassador class. Size wise the Enterprise-E sits between the Ent-B and Ent-C.

Yep, the Galaxy class is the largest Federation starship volume-wise, and I'd have been happy to have seen Riker in command of one. But I'm also a sucker for new ship designs, so I would have liked the Titan to have been a newer class even more than I'd have liked it to be a Galaxy class.

(Although the best thing they could have done 15 years ago for TATV was to show Riker and Troi on the Galaxy class Titan post-Nemesis, instead of the Galaxy class Enterprise-D during the events of "The Pegasus.")

I'd have like to have seen Riker and Troi on a Galaxy class Titan at the end of Nemesis. I don't dislike the Luna class design but it's just too similar in size and design to the Akira class.

Back to the discussion: I'm curious to know what kind of help Picard is asking of the Rikers. Specifically, who Riker is going to call to make something happen, and in what ship they will pick up Picard. I get a sense that La Sirena isn't going to make the rendezvous. Perhaps our first big surprise of Eps 7-10 will come in the closing scene, e.g. a familiar voice saying "Admiral Picard -- stand by to beam up." -- perhaps in a familiar ship!

On edit: I know a number of people have already seen Ep 7 due to the erroneous release, so please don't post any spoilers about it here. There's already a thread for that!

Size comparison of all Enterprises.

The Sovereign is definitely a successor to the Excelsior Class not the Galaxy.

The 1701-E and the 1701-F are the most likely candidates based on the time period and the gap between NEM and the first season of PIC but if we expand the definition of "seeing an Enterprise" to include just holograms or other historical depictions I'd love to see Enterprise NX-01 being projected inside Starfleet Headquarters or as a model inside an historical display somewhere.

there is no canon evidence Geordi built the fleet. Saying ‘there’s no canon evidence he didn’t’ is a nonsequitor that has no relevance to the discussion as far as proof is concerned. Again, feel free to think he did. But your circular logic argument means nothing to me. End. Of. Discussion.
Can anyone else explain to me how that is circular logic? Or a non-sequitur? There simply is no circle in its reasoning, and it is very connected to the other point.

What’s also kind of cool is that the hologram of the Discoprise did not have a name or registry number. So in the prime universe of PIC we are free to interpret the ship as being a different class than the Constitution, and that hologram specifically as not the Enterprise NCC-1701 (for all the people out there who believe DSC does not take place in the prime timeline ;))

Speaking of cake, I think it's funny that was prominent in a scene of "Nepenthe"! One of the happiest coincidences ever.

Might Riker or Troi mention Titan is a Luna class ship?

The Titan was not mentioned at all. However, the line that Thad ‘grew up on starships’ implies that the Titan was just the first of several ships Riker commanded, and as such, will not be featured in any prominent way in this show.

Or, like me, I just go "What registry numbers?" Plausible deniability, right there.

I mean...technically we have seen an Enterprise...the E-D.

But..yes I know, it was a dream, etc.

I still will be surprised if we see it, and if we do, I do hope it's the E-E with Captain Worf (because I do really like Mike Dorn's devotion to the character), but I suspect I'll at least partly be disappointed.

Having Worf in command of a Starfleet ship would be the worst thing they could possibly do, because it would mean that Picard would have been able to use him as a Starfleet contact instead of basically ruining Raffi’s life to get what he wanted. It would mean that Worf’s life means more to him than Raffi’s, and it would make Picard look like a total dickhead. Which he’s already kind of looking like so far.

I have no desire to see the ENT-E or Worf on PIC after how the story has progressed thus far.

So, of course, it will be present.

Picard already mentioned he didn't want to bring in his former crew because they would do things simply out of loyalty to him

"So instead he gets these schmucks to join him" - Junkball.

I see no in-universe reason for Picard to not go after his old crew for 'loyalty', I would had given him a line of 'They're with Starfleet, they have lives beyond being with me now...it'll cause a rift, between them and myself and between them and Starfleet. I don't want to destroy their lives like I destroyed mine..." or something like that. But eh.
