Which Captain would Worf have respected more? Picard or Sisko?

Fleet Captain
I think he would for different reasons. Picard was kind of like a father figure, older, wiser and always there to offer advice and support.

But Sisko was more developmental, and showed Worf the ropes of command. This makes sense since Worf was a lot higher in DS9's chain of command, compared to the Enterprises-D and E.

Picard. . . Worf chose him as his cha'dich (excuse the lack of klingon spelling). Sisko is definitely the physically tougher of the two captains, but I think Picard was more sure of himself and what was "right" in a given situation. Picard's moral certainty would probably work for Worf somewhat more than Sisko's shades of grey.

Hmm...*tries to think of an Archer joke*...*tries to think of a Janeway joke*....*gives up*

Picard. Picard got away with calling Worf a coward. "Were you any other man, I'd kill you where you stand."

Tough call, probably Picard. For this I'd have to look at First Contact when Picard berates Worf in front of everyone on the bridge, calls him a coward and tells him to leave. Worf is physically superior to Picard yet he basically kept his cool. That showed how highly Worf regarded Picard, he could've attacked him (and probably killed him whereas Sisko showed he could kick Klingon butt) or later refused to work with Picard or even not accept his apology.

I never got the sense that Worf was in any way intimidated by Sisko. I thought he looked up to both captains, in equal measure.

Probably Picard. Worf was never intimiated by him like was by Sisko.

Sisko did intimidate Worf, though, Ezri told him that.

Despite that, I'll have to agree with Picard. Sisko was stronger, younger and easily angered - any Klingon would respect those qualities - but Picard was definitely more of a leader despite being physically weaker.

I think Worf would like Sisko more because he's more like a Klingon. They both look dumber than other officers, but actually are very intelligent. Being very smart doesn't necessarilly mean you're physically weak. Plus they both play by black actors! LOL So it seems that way! LOL

Picard and Worf's relationship of mutual respect and admiration is one of my favourite relationships in the whole of Trek, I love all the episodes of them together, so I definitely have to go with Picard. Sisko was just his commander most of the time, but Picard... but Picard was something more.

Worf, by his general nature, would respect whomever was his captain. But given the two options, I would have to say Picard. Picard allowed him a lot of leeway in regards to his heritage and made it possible for him to grow as both a Starfleet officer and a Klingon.

Given that DS9's character/relationship development was MUCH better than TNG's, Picard doesn't have a fair chance against Sisko.

I like to imagine how First Contact would have been including Sisko as one of the Defiant survivors. I don't think he would have ever called Worf a coward, no matter how angry he was.
