On the second graph, I came out pretty much in the center of the libertarian/left quadrant.
I expected the libertarian result...but felt I was more 'moderate center' than 'moderate left'.
I suspect, however, that this was the result of a few questions that used terms like "always". Even if I agree with a statement, whenever I hear the term 'always', I tend to disagree. There are always exceptions out there to basic principles.![]()
The center.....Re: Where on the political spectrum are you?
And we should definetely do a new TNZ one.
Yeah, the very first question is one I find odd.One of my annoyances with that particular test, and the reason my results vary a bit each time I think, is that I don't know how precisely to take the wording. For example, "it is a waste of time trying to rehabilitate some criminals". I went for 'agree', because I know for a fact there are some criminals that cannot be rehabilitated, and trying is a waste of time. But I don't know what they mean by 'some'. '1 in 10' or '1 in a million'? Because the meaning would change my answer.
Or "The rich are too highly taxed." Where? In Germany, in North Korea, in Singapore, Monaco?
That's what I answered.Or "The rich are too highly taxed." Where? In Germany, in North Korea, in Singapore, Monaco?
On that one, I think if you ask yourself that question, your answer is 'disagree'.
The problem is, my gut instinct on that question is to ask: "Where?"You're supposed to answer your gut instinct, and I think if you are against higher percentage taxes on the rich, you'd just answer 'agree' without further analysis. I try to answer the questions with the first answer that pops into my head because I think it's a fairer assessment of what I feel rather than what I subconsciously tailor the result to be.

(Though I would've also disagreed with "taxed not enough.")
