I was thinking Isle of Wight, as in "She's got a ticket to Ryde," but I'm not sure. There is a Ryde Station there, at least, and some trains that look like the one pictured here.
It's Dawlish on the Exe River estuary in Devon, southwest England. That stretch of beach from Dawlish Warren through Dawlish and on to Teignmouth is the most popular spot in the country for trainspotters. I have a husband with albums full of train photos to prove it. We live a 15-minute train ride from here so are lucky enough to visit it quite often.
