Where on Earth?

Hotel del Coronado in Coronado, California.

We saw it in Some like it Hot

^Is it in Prague?

I don't think anyone ever guessed this, so I'll put it out of it's entirely theoretical misery: this is Ottawa, looking west along the Ottawa River, with the skyline of Gatineau visible. I'd left it alone until now because I felt it would be cheating to "guess" it. ;)

Here's one:

^ Wild guess: Siena?

Still, no guesses on this? It's a Registered National Landmark.
That's Garden of the Gods Park in Colorado Springs. I haven't been there but it looks very scenic. :)

It screamed Arches NP to me, but its wayyyy too green to be Utah.

Yay, SmoothieX! Yes, it's Garden of the Gods, one of my favorite places that we visited on our trip to Denver. I thought it was wonderful.

And, also The Stunt Man. :techman:

This is a really cute thread. I have no idea where any of these places are (except for the Coronado one), but I'm loving the pics!

And here I thought Robert Maxwell would be first in on that one. And don't forget about the Royal Palace in the background.

Smoothie hit is on the head. It's Lake Mead from the Nevada side.
From the contour of the mountains in the background I had that much figured but, other than somewhere in the vicinity of Bullhead City, I haven't been able to work out the spot from which the pic was taken.

Argh, I know you've posted a pic of this before but I only vaguely recall the location.

[Edit: HA!]
