Yep! It's just a 15-minute train ride from where I live, and it's a gorgeous place. My trainspotting husband has several dozen photo albums of pics he's taken there, including a few of me and the kids. This is where Virgin Trains found out the hard way that their trains' electronics don't like being flooded by sea water.

Indeed! The Cloisters is one of the wonderful places in Manhattan that doesn't feel at all like it's in a city.

The mill picture I had to do a certain amount digging to identify, but this one had me thinking "Death Valley" right away - there's something recognizable about the view from the lowest elevation on the continent, once you've seen it a few times.
