Where on Earth?

Yep! It's just a 15-minute train ride from where I live, and it's a gorgeous place. My trainspotting husband has several dozen photo albums of pics he's taken there, including a few of me and the kids. ;) This is where Virgin Trains found out the hard way that their trains' electronics don't like being flooded by sea water.

Is that Badwater?

I see you know your NPs. I'll find something more obscure from the 22 of 58 I've been to.
The mill picture I had to do a certain amount digging to identify, but this one had me thinking "Death Valley" right away - there's something recognizable about the view from the lowest elevation on the continent, once you've seen it a few times.
 
I don't know what auntiehill's is, but I don't want this thread to slip to the later pages so I'm posting another one. No idea if it's difficult or not.
