Where are you in the Trek Universe?

Maybe I’d be on Angel One trying to persuade them to adopt the Ferengi tradition of females not wearing clothes. I wouldn’t mind women bossing me around so long as they’re attractive and naked.

Some time after Terra Prime aboard the NX-01... spilling beans about the worst holodeck simulation I've ever seen.

Forewarned is to be forearmed right? ;)

I would hope to be financially independent enough to own my own warp capable vessel that offers both great speed and comfort. Something like a posh, ultra fast runabout would do just fine. Also, I would require Quark to make a holosuite available at my leisure.

Starfleet is good and all, and I wouldn't make myself a target for it, but I think I'm too liberal to ever work for the police state that UFP is. They can protect my ass, but I'll keep them at arms length when able.

I'd be a 24th Century captain of a nice little Miranda class, or something. Nice little milk runs in the neighborhood. Nothing too deep space or dangerous. Married to a nice, little blue skinned gal with white hair and antennae.

I would probably live on post-occupation Bajor. They're good guys and a free society, but they're not members of the Federation. I find the Federation a bit arrogant. (While I find Eddington to be arrogant, and he gave the Maquis a bad name, he had a point when he talked about the Federation's desire to assimilate.)

Failing that, I would live on one of the former Federation colonies in the DMZ, fighting off Cardassians who are trying to take my home.

If my career choices are somewhat similar to what I do now, I'd probably end up in Starfleet Corps of Engineers.

I'd like to think I'd be doing something noble, like assisting Starfleet medical in pioneering some new medical procedure, like Kate Pulaski, or Toby Russell

but in reality, I'd probably have a joint like Quark's, near some Federation outpost, where I could corrupt hot young Starfleet personnel, & make a living on holosuite bookings, & goods trading

I'd be on the Enterprise-D as captain.

Or failing that, plotting Picard's removal in an "unfortunate transporter accident".

In San Francisco, teaching exobiology at Starfleet Academy. Fun question! I had to think about that one, and I'm surprised I didn't pick a Starship. But I think I'd be more of a space sightseer -- nice to visit specific places once in a while, not so nice to live in the vacuum for months or years on end.

Holonovel writer. My real-world job is computer programmer, and my interests include scriptwriting and roleplaying games, so writing holonovels seems like a perfect combination.

At my age, probably beginning or soon to be beginning my Starfleet training. I know that with such space travel being possible (well not really, since their modes of travel are illogical considering the physics of space) I would not be able to resist the allure of space and new civilizations.

I'd love to be one of Trip's engineers on NX-01 or live happily in the 24st century problem free society, doing nothing in particular and "living in" holonovels all day. I would be seriously addicted.

I'd probably be one of those genetically modified nut jobs that Bashir worked with. I'd live under 24 hour surveillance and have to eat everything with a spoon.

I would be the captain of a timeship in the 29th century.

Or maybe I'd be a Q...

Anyway, I want to be able to go where I want, when I want.

Great, fun question! I am now, as i ever shall be (and as i was in the 60s) Yeoman to James T. Kirk.

And, later on, when the technology arrived, i am quite sure i would be a holosuite addict. And so, i am sure i would be Barclay's best friend.

Yeoman Shoman... Ok you can have that "position"....but this would be mine: I'd be in Kirk's quarters...that's where I'd be -- all the time too...I wouldn't be allowed to leave. I'd be forceably restrained by Kirk himself...tying me up and having his way with me. I'm answering the question right?

On a Federation ship near the Cardassian border, selling Starfleet secrets to the Obsidian Order! :cardie:

Why, hello...very nice to meet you, sir! What is it you have, that may be of interest to us?

Now that's my forum "roleplay" character. But let's get a little more serious.

When I look at Trek society...at least, by the 24th century, I do not believe I would want to be human unless I were on some colony where there was more tolerance of varying human belief systems and religions. Ideally, this would be outside of Federation jurisdiction entirely.

But...I think that I would want most to be Cardassian, to be one of those who plays a role in the rebuilding of the Union following the Dominion War. To be there at the (new) beginning, to be part of shaping a nation before the stagnation and the apathy sets in...that would be a high privilege indeed. (I would also imagine myself as an Oralian believer, as seen in the novels.)
