When we are going to find out about Supernatural's fate?

For months, I’ve been waiting for word over whether or not it’s going to get canceled by the end of this season because, without knowing for sure, I don’t know whether or not I should prepare myself for Season 5 being the final season. When do you think are we going to find out for sure what’s going to happen to the show?

Isn't all that "on the bubble" TV cancellation talk usually in March/April?

I don't mind not knowing so long as the writers, producers and actors know ahead of time so they can wrap up the story properly.

It's hard to keep a secret in the entertainment industry. It's quite probable that we'll know soon after the writers, producers, and actors (possibly before).

How have the ratings been so far this season? I would guess pretty decent, as they usually have been.

I assume the network probably wants to keep it on the air (Dawn whatever her name's tweeny girl network wishes aside); but my cancellation concerns are more so over the plans of the producers to end it after the initial 5-year plan.

I suspect it'll be renewed. The ratings are a little down from last year because of the addition of Fringe to the already overcrowded time slot, but the female 18-34 demo (Dawn's cherished demo) is up above last year. The highest it's been since season two. Its ratings are higher than every show except Vampire Diaries. It'll get renewed.

Which worries me. I honestly don't know how they'll pull of a decent season six. There's no natural, creative follow up to killing Lucifer. Kripke has said that--if he stays--they'll go minimal and personal. It may be their only choice. He's not going to artificially drag out the Lucifer story another season and for that I'm glad. He doesn't want to blunt the emotional impact.

There will be a 6th season, there is no doubt there will be a 6th season unless The CW goes bankrupt before September....

.... which isn't impossible.
