When is NBC going to air Merlin in the U.S.? *No spoilers*

First off let me please ask my international friends not to give away any spoilers of Merlin....


Does anyone know when NBC is going to air Merlin in the United States? All I can find on-line is that it is supposed to air in the Winter of 2009, but nothing more specific. In fact, I've read articles on-line about what NBC is going to air next year and they all point out that we still have no word on Merlin. I was just wondering if someone has gotten the inside scoop... I'm curious to see the show! It is supposed to be picked up for a second season- I was suprised 'cause I thought it was a mini-series. Shows what I know about British TV!

I'll bet they burn off the episodes during the summer, so look for it then. If not then, that means that even desperate NBC won't stoop that low. What I've heard about it isn't good...
