...the last human alive? I can't remember when in the series it was mentioned. Last time I tried to catch a run of the first two or three seasons, I missed that part.

They're dead Dave, everybody's dead, Dave.

^^Well, don't forget the Cat. He's alive.
Well, yeah, but Bacl said Lister was the only thing alive, not just the only being from Earth.
even if you think of the resurrected crew, you might have to ask if clones are real people just because they've been programmed to act and respond like their genetic donors? Surely you couldn't claim that they were real until they broke their programming and started not acting like the crew.

Well Rimmer said even if they're not dead they've probably evolved past recognition. In the books humans had all left Earth, and used it as a giant landfill, until one day there was an accident and it was blown out of orbit, and was later found by Lister. They're dead Dave, everybody's dead, Dave.
I remember that episode, Lister walking around, reminiscing about the crew, as he nibbles on them along the way
I couldn't remember anyone mentioning that the human race was only "probably" dead, I thought there was some sort of explicit mention in there someone. When I get the cash I might pick up some more of the series DVD sets.
Yeah, it's been a while since I read Last Human, but didn't the Argonoids kill all humans in Backwards?i believe in the novels, they were living in colonies in the rest of the sol system, as evidenced by the Eurovision-esque televote for which planet became GarbageWorld.
beyond that...
I PM'd you because I didn't want to take the thread too far off track. but the short answer is yes they're repeating it loads. Got good ratings too...Completely unrelated, Bob; I missed Being Human. Out all weekend. Am I correct in assuming Beeb 3 will repeat them? Some friends watched it and said without showing the pilot first it didn't make a whole lot of sense.
I don't think either of them are, but I could be wrong...Is it Norman Lovett or Hattie Hayridge who'll play Holly in the new venture?
