When and how will DSC crossover with the TNG sequel?

How: Discovery does a jump that timetravels them forward, and Picard hails them.

I always thought the differences between the 23rd and 24th Century were exaggerated to begin with but, at the same time, DSC has yet to have the super-technobabbly stuff of TNG or VOY.

A holo phone call is probably different than an actual semi-sentient holo-character that someone can interact with and touch.

Pike will need to come on board to take over from Picard under Regulation 19, Section C. Picard will reply, "That will be the day." Pretty much is - "this is what happened to Picard from TNG" is kind of what a sequel is. Same way Logan was a sequel to his previous appearances as Professor X.
