what's your local weather?

2 C today with a call for some rain later in the afternoon and into the evening. That'll help lower the amount of snow we've got before the next blast of Arctic air comes in on the weekend.

That's so pretty! All we have around here are maples, which are going to burst out in pollen when it finally warms up for real.

Today was SO nice, like not zip up my coat, maybe spring will happen soon, nice. High somewhere in the mid-40s, sunny, not windy, and things got a chance to melt and also evaporate. Rain's going to start soon, but I don't have to go anywhere for the next 16 hours or so, so that's okay by me.

Almost 60 and mostly sunny. There's precious little snow left from last week's huge storm and the pouring rain that fell first thing this morning is long gone.

My home town was, if I'm not mistaken, the fifth rainiest city in Europe in 2013, and from the way this is going, we're aiming for #1 in 2014.

Yeah, you guessed it... It's raining.

60 degrees, mostly clear skies and an almost springlike feel to the air. Hard to believe it was just a little over a week ago that this area was buried under about twenty inches of snow and near-whiteout conditions.

I think it actually got up to 50 here today. Sunny, lots of snow melt (it's nowhere near gone yet) and our driveway is clear for the first time in months! It's cold again now, being night and all, so it's icing over again, but we're in for the night so that's okay.

We had a gorgeous, sunny, spring-like day today here in Queens. The snow even melted to the point where we can see grass.

Now, to just get rid of the piles of snow still blocking parking spots on the streets ...

The snow turned into rain, which turned into ice, which I slipped on when I was walking to my car. Now my leg hurts.

-1 C. There has been a lot of melting over the last 72 hrs. Another cold front is coming in - hopefully not too cold. Seeing the snow and ice disappear has been nice.
