what's your local weather?

Nearly midday here and it is 33C (91F). Very windy and we have a severe fire danger warning.

It was nice-ish today, a little sun, got up over 40F and then dropped again in the afternoon as the polar vortex returned. At least it was nice for the part where I had to walk to another building across campus, and some of the snow melted. I'm still a million kinds of over this winter, though.

63 f and cloudy, looks like we're going to get 1/10 inch of rain this week. So pretty much nothing.

Damn that's hot, I hope you all don't have similar fire issues again this season.

Actual water falling from the ski, although not enough to matter. Dry forecast for the next 10 days after this.

14° F and mostly clear skies. The weather is about to get noticeably warmer.

-4 this fine morning, I snapped this on my way out after fresh bread for my breakfast (I think it's the sweepers coffee-break):

And the other night, I'd been to my nieces birthday, I just had to snap this:

I love it! It's so geometrical =)

a dull and cloudy day here after a sunny morning. Temperatures are slightly above freezing point.
Tomorrow the forecast says fog. Just my luck: I have to go out and sample an extremely polluted stream in a steep ravine. Slippery job at the best of times. Nasty when there is a thick layer of decaying wet leaves with ice on top. Guess I better put on grapplers over my wellies. The silver line: the stream itself will be easy to sample - fouling water is too warm to freeze so at least I won't need a hatchet. (on the other hand, frozen wastewater doesn't stink so badly *sigh*. Why do farmers always have to let their waste water run into streams? There are sewers for that!)

It's 30 degrees. Still technically below freezing, but it feels so warm compared to how it's been that I just went out wearing shorts.

It's 27 and cloudy. I feel like it could rain - the forecast says 10% chance of rain, but I'd say it's more than that, based on my aching bones and how the cat isn't interested in going outside. :) It could also snow later tonight, but I'd prefer rain. Just need to get it up over 32.

27° F and sunny. It actually got all the way up to about 60 yesterday afternoon, so I'm hoping we have a repeat of that this weekend.
