what's your local weather?

Impending snow storm is impending.

Roommate hopped on a plane this morning and is flying to California for week. Asshole.

Waiting for the freezing rain to start. I'm due @ work 9PM (about 1 hour after the fr. rain is scheduled to start) and am wondering what to do. I've called out sick for the past five days since my back went out and I have a Dr. note to return tonite. I'm not going in tonite, but I have to decide to call out sick again (requiring an addition to the Dr. note), or using "community disaster" as my reason. If I use the ice excuse and it amounts to nothing (like the snow we were supposed to have the other day) I'll look like a wuss.

Decisions, decisions. :brickwall:

Looks like some kind of frozen precipitation is coming down. It looks a little bit like snow flurries but I couldn't get a good look.

aww, that sucks :( I hope you have good heating!

It's been a frosty but sunny morning here in Bavaria, but now it's getting more and more foggy again. Temperatures ars still zigzaging between -5°C and +3°C. This is basically no winter but a prolongued autumn. Pretty weird.
Nevertheless, I am determined to sow my tomatoes, basil and chilantro today (indoors, of course. In Bavaria, we often have frosty nights at the end of May).

It snowed again overnight, no idea on totals since we never got the last batch cleaned up very well, and now it is sleeting very loudly. We canceled school before we even left for the day yesterday, so I should be sleeping in, but... nope. Wide awake and doing my taxes. *sigh*

Thanks - and boy do I ever miss Germany!!

-7 C right now and snowing very, very heavily.

Bright sun and 51 F. The sunshine makes it feel warmer than it actually is.

It's -2F here at my office in Aurora, Colorado. It was -10F on my way in to work this morning.

Its been another snowy day. We've apparently had 63 inches total so far and were expecting more on Saturday. Buy hey…its supposed to be clear tomorrow. The tradeoff is that the temp is supposed to plummet to lows below zero and highs in the single digits.

I'm so over this mess.

blue sky, sun and the last bits of snow melting atm. This winter is ridiculous - basically it's been only a drawn out autumn here. We're supposed to have -30°C and half a meter of snow! And instead it's +8°C and my tulips have shoots as long as a pinkie.
It's like the East Coast and Bavaria swapped places.

80mph wind, thunder, torrential rain and cold. It was a lovely ride home.

I was thinking of you the other day as I know you ride a motorcycle. This weather can't be any fun for you. At least you're not reliant on the train, eh?

This happened at Dawlish, about five miles southwest of Exeter in the county of Devon. This is the one and only train route to the south Devon city of Plymouth and the county of Cornwall. The damage will take at least six weeks to repair, and the storms and high tides aren't over yet.
