Along with the fog yesterday, it's been pretty cloudy this week. I always find it kind of weird how the clouds effect the temps, when it's cloudy the nights don't get as cold, but at the same time the days don't get as warm.
The clouds were gone today, so it got a bit warmer. But earlier today my mom said she saw our highs are going down into the 50s next week, which would be the coldest it's been so far this year.
It was colder the last few days, but we're starting to warm back up. It was barely in the 50s the last few days, but by the end of the week we're supposed to be back in the 60s.
North of Chicago, the "historic" snow wasn't all that historic. But today it's -4°F with gale force winds, so that small amount of snow is going a long way.
8 degrees F here in southern Tennessee. It was raining last night in the mid 40s, with occasionally power outages. I thought the roads would sheets of ice this morning, but I guess it mostly drained of the road before the cooldown occurred.
The temperatures I'm seeing in other parts of US and Canada are just insane. One of the animal sanctuaries I follow out in Tennessee had a wind chill in the -20ºsF last night, and as an Arizonan I just can't even wrap my mind around that kind of cold.
Right now the sun is starting to set, and the temp is 60ºF.
