My ship would be a Borg Sphere repurposed for the Federation

Engineering Jet Reno and Scotty together, I think the banter would be fun
Ops would be Chakotay
Science Paul Stamets. I just like him
Medical let's have Beverly Crusher and Dr Phlox
Tactical Commander Nhan - Did she ever have a first name?
Helm Airiam and Keyla Detmer
Comms Lt. Uhura


That would round off my crew nicely.

If I was going to be on a ship in space, I'd really like the Olympic Class USS Pasteur hospital ship. Humanitarian aid missions, what looks like all the amenities of a Galaxy Class. If it's any kind of next step in design, it would be so much like a home. I'd really like some rather dispassionate people to command it, like Spock as captain & Data as XO, Maybe Selar as CMO

I've always loved Excelsiors, so let's have one. Refurbished to post-Dominion-War era specs, with a focus on science and experiments... if most of my favorite characters are on the science track, let's utilize their expertise, shall we?

• CO: Christopher Pike (DSC). I liked him from day one and he really grew on me as space dad. Fate be damned!
• XO/Chief Science Officer: Spock (TOS). No comment.
• Ops/Assistant Chief Science Officer: Data. Again, no comment.
• Helm/Second Assistant Chief Science Officer: Jadzia Dax. Almost everyone doubles as a science officer, and that doesn't bother me at all.
• Junior Science Officer: Sylvia Tilly. No way am I leaving her out. Promoted to LtJG for reasons detailed below.
• Also lending her expertise as a civilian scientist is Seven of Nine. We need the best of the best.
• CMO: Julian Bashir. Also, an EMH Mark One that can't be turned off. They get on each other's nerves a lot.
• Chief Engineer: Montgomery Scott (TOS). Gives the ship much of tender, loving care.
• Assistant Chief Engineer: Miles O'Brien. The everyman among all the geniuses, but takes it all in stride, especially with one of them being a fellow Irish. He managed to convince Tilly to use 'feck' as a culturally appropriate alternative should her swearing bother the crew.
• Counselor: Ezri Dax. Due to a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff. Neither she, nor Jadzia are bothered by it too much.
• Tactical/Chief Punching Bag of the Universe: Worf. Even Pike shoots down everything he suggests.
• Assistant Chief Punching Bag of the Universe: Eternal Ensign Harry Kim. His rank has been amended as Eternal Ensign and Tilly was promoted to LtJG just to spite him. Shortly thereafter, Spock, Data, Jadzia and Seven reached the conclusion that the one thing common in every universe where the Federation was destroyed was Harry being promoted, so his rank was locked by Starfleet General Order #10047.
