What's your birth story?

I was born during the period between Revelation of the Daleks and the start of The Trial of a Time Lord.

Same here. Having been born in May '85, I was born closer to Revelation (March '85) than Trial (Sept '86).

I think it's awesome that I was born during the tenure of the Doctor that is fast becoming my absolute favorite!

But the BBC thought a fight between Daleks and Cybermen might be good and they wanted Wheel in Space to be a fight between the Daleks and the Cybermen. Nation refused that particular proposal.
I wondered what that swishing sound during Doomsday was. It was Nation in his grave.

...or his family counting their money.

Well the info on Wheel in Space comes from the Cybermen documentary on the Attack of the Cybermen DVD. It simply says Nation refused to license the Daleks for that episode. But a Dalek is in The War Games so I just think the idea of Nation refusing to allow the Daleks in the Troughton era are a little wrong just because of the evidence.

Maybe he wanted to write Wheel in Space himself? Or felt his Daleks should always be center stage?

November 19, 1982. That's during the hiatus between Seasons 19 & 20, so that's between "Time-Flight" & "Arc of Infinity," during the period where a bunch of the 5th Doctor/Nyssa Big Finish audios are set (including my favorite, "Circular Time").

Also, I'm proud to say that I'm only 22 days younger than the current Doctor, Matt Smith.:D

BTW, my sister was born between parts 1 & 2 of "Revelation of the Daleks" in March 1985.

I have a couple other Doctor Who fan friends. One was born a couple weeks before the beginning of "The Leisure Hive" in Season 18. The other was born during the hiatus between Seasons 18 & 19, although closer to Peter Davison's beginnings in "Castrovalva" than to Tom Baker's endings in "Logopolis."

im not sure would need to count the exact days and im not putting that much effort into it.

So im either The Twin Dilemma Part 4 or Attach of the Cybermen Part 1.

The Sixth Doctor at any rate.

I was born in a month after the end of season 23 but before the start of Season 24. The closest episode airdate to my birthday would be...Time and the Rani. *Shudder*. I liked Doctor Seven in his later days but I didn't much care for his clownish days.

I was born in a little town known as Lakenheith, suffolk-U.K., north East of London..in February, 1977

the season playing at that time was 14, and episodes 17, 18, and 19 were on the air..

The Robots of Death!

which featured my absolute favourite doctor of all time, Tom Baker!:techman:

I was born well before "An Unearthly Child" first aired. I even remember watching many of the lost serials as a child -- often from behind the sofa. I stopped watching DW during Colin Baker's era.

wow, between logopolis part 4 and castrovalva part 1.....the end of my doctor lead to my beginning!

i guess the moment had been prepared for

Logopolis takes place on my 14th birthday (ironically, I missed part one because I was forced to have a birthday party - parents!!!!). So does Four to Doomsday.
My 18th birthday present from the BBC was the 1985 cancellation. Thank you, Michael Grade.

Those of you older than 20 and a bit would have been alive during DW's original run. This means you may have been born while a particular story was airing (or else during the gap between seasons). Otherwise, just make it the nearest to when you were born. This means a lot of the kids are likely to have Survival or the TV Movie.

Anyway, I was born in the gap between seasons 25 and 26, but I'm closer to Battlefield than Greatest Show. Battlefield's alright.

So, what's your birth story? You can check airdates on the DW wiki (http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Doctor_Who_Wiki).

I grew up during the Tom Baker era, and 'grew up' thinking that he was the only Doctor.

It wasn't until I started reading the production books did I find out why he was called 'Doctor Who;' which, he was the same guy with different faces...but somehow different personalities...which made him a different person...

Oh, yes....and I never, ever pronounce 'Doctor' as 'Docter'...but as 'Dawctaa'....(courtesy of Sarah Jane Smith)...
