What's thegayest and most hetro-sexual thing you do?

It's funny how so many people equate "hetero" stereotypes as being manly and doing things considered manly e.g. heavy rock music, fishing, "men's" drinks, etc.

Unfortunatly the old stereotypes are alive and well where I live. Which includes the 'mens' drinks thing... I still get funny looks ordering a cosmo

It actually really irritated me when a friends brother came out - he suddenly changed and felt he needed to live up to the stereotype. As a contrast my ex's dad was, in his wifes words, the most 'un-gay' man you could ever meet.

I have had 2 ex-girlfriends who turned out to be lesbians and the women I attract are usually bi.

Fag hags are heterosexual women who are usually fat and or unattractive who gravitate toward homosexual men because they make them feel beautiful.

My cousin is a notorious one.

You base your unbelievably prejudiced description on one cousin? All the 'fag hags' I know are gorgeous, which makes the manly men furious with envy.

Under the old stereotypes, probably 90% of what I do would be considered Gay.

The remaining 10% is crucial, however.

Same here, which is why most people usually think I'm gay when they meet me.

It's not true, I tells ya!

I doesn't matter to me whether people think I'm gay or straight or whatever. I am what I am.

I'm sure a few people I've met over the years have wondered why I don't talk about girls or girlfriends much, why I don't say anything when they comment about a girl they've just seen etc but sod it, really.

I think of my sexuality like this - if a tree falls in the woods and there is no-one around to hear it, does it make a sound ?

^I think that most people think I'm gay when they first meet me, and that automatically prevents any girls from being attracted to me. It's annoying.

I can think of a million reasons ahead of them thinking I'm gay why they don't find me attractive. :)

My point was, does it really matter if I'm straight or gay or whatever if I don't exercise either option ?

I'm 80% according to a local journalist. Though he did say that soon after that was largely based on the fact that I was in a nightclub wearing a waistcoat with purple tights.

I've had the opposite effect. Some women thought I was gay and went out of their way to 'turn' me. I also seemed to get a lot more interest (outside my usual niche) when I had more feminine look.

Odd.

I actually like Sex in the City...
Yeah got that too.
^I did that after having to play very "gay" in theater class in high school and my sis asked me what that meant. I showed her and now it's about a year since she asked about it last. I graduated high school in 2003.

It's almost as bad as the time I went to a nightclub, got drunk and did the robot dance. Couldn't go to the night club after that without everybody asking me to do THAT again too.
Yeeeaaaahhhh.....let's just say there are several reasons why I don't party hard too much...

I adore the company of gay men, they are deliciously bitchy and incredibly funny. Unless it's directed at you of course - I was at a party in a backless summer dress, enjoying the attention of a couple of chaps, when 'Alan' sashayed up to me, twirled me round and then 'weighed' my breasts. Shaking his head slightly and pursing his lips he 'stage whispered' "No darling, too big!" I was mortified :( :guffaw:

The gayest thing I do is: Hmmm. Not sure. I argue for gay rights, boycott businesses that aren't gay friendly, and have a rainbow flag on my car (mainly because of my wife). I think Tom Welling and the guy that plays Green Arrow on Smallville are all attractive, and also Orlando Bloom, but only if he's dressed as Legolas. I like the mellow sounds of the 70s, like Manilow, Air Supply, ABBA. I like "eurotrash" bands like Erasure and the Pet Shop Boys. I will stop and ask for directions.

The most hetero thing I do: I've been happily married for 17 years. I've got two kids, and I'm "dad" not just to them but to a lot of my friends, as well, and have been since high school. I work on things, even when I have no idea what I'm doing, and frequently get them working. I carry a multitool.

Dunno, really. I really enjoy a lot of musical theater, and that's classically gay. I drink beer, whiskey, I smoke cigars and I watch all kinds of sports. I love to sing. I have virtually no fashion sense. I'm an environmentalist. I eat a lot of red meat.

I'm quite a paradox, come to think of it ;)

edit: Oh, I use words like "paradox"

Ain't nothing gay about being an environmentalist/conservationist. Teddy Roosevelt would be proud and I don't think it's possible for him to have done anything gay. To the point where he could do another guy and it wouldn't be gay.

THAT'S how manly he was. :p

I guess the gayest thing I do is hold hands with other guys (when we pray at the end of my church men's group each Wednesday morning).

The most hetero thing I do would probably be splitting firewood. If James T. Kirk does it, it must be pretty damned manly!

Not read very much slash-fic have you

For me, I guess the gayest would be that I enjoy interior design and color matching.
