Or even more confusingly: ridges without Klingons.Since the Rura Penthe scene in Trek XI was cut, I think XII should have Klingons without ridges (without explanation), just to mess with us fans.

If we get to see Klingons in ST 2012, I would prefer ridges. But I wouldn't be opposed to an update of the make-up effect to make it look more realistic. Not only the ridges themselves but the appliances to the face and the teeth. Make everything look a little less like rubber.
Actually, I would have loved that! The other option would have been having Worf suddenly look like a TOS Klingon the moment they went to the past and nobody noticing or commenting on it.![]()

But he wasn't prepared by the Atavachron! Unless he gets back soon, he'll be stuck that way forever...Actually, I would have loved that! The other option would have been having Worf suddenly look like a TOS Klingon the moment they went to the past and nobody noticing or commenting on it.![]()

There are close-ups and pics without the helmets at (I think) scifinow.co.uk. Only the visible areas were made up, but the nose especially suggests a bumpy head above.Since the Rura Penthe scene in Trek XI was cut, I think XII should have Klingons without ridges (without explanation), just to mess with us fans.
My impression with those cut scenes is that...they were wearing the lasks to cover the shame of losing their ridges.
