What's the Best Way to Keep Tresspasers of Your Yard?

In lieu of a fence you can get some retaining wall stones and just built a stout "wall" around the edge of your property (or 6-inches back is I think the usual MO for erecting a barrier around your property.) It'd look nice without the "obtrusion" that a fence would have or the visual "eye-sore" or any other problems you may have with a fence. Talking to your local home-improvement store about these.

With these erected around the perimeter of the property you can then place some "no trespassing" signs near them. But this is a "heavy" deterrent at best as there's still little actually preventing people from getting on your property or littering on it. The only way to do that is, yes, a fence.

A bigger dog, preferably one that needs being contained by an electric fence and loads of "Ferocious dog on guard"-signs.

Older relatives sunbathing (or playing ball) naked in your yard.

That device you linked to would also do the trick I guess :bolian:

Just a sign:

Or a large doghouse with a broken chain and cattle bones scattered around it.

"Beware of Snakes" signs placed at intervals around your yard might help. (Several large, thoroughly-cleaned beef bones scattered through the yard might lend emphasis as to the size of said snakes.) Or maybe a pressure-triggered sprinkler system.

ETA:
and cattle bones scattered around it.
Heh -- great minds and all that. ;)

Sounds like the fence route might be best, but in theroy you could put a lockable gate in it. So you would still have access.

If you want to keep the trespassers of your yard, I'd suggest liberal use of bear traps and sound proofing the basement.

Force field.

Or plant a nice hedge, and put some "no trespassing" or "private property" signs outside it.

Periodically going out and pinching a loaf in your front yard should keep neighbors from encroaching on your territory.
