Whatever William T. Riker possessed, I need LOTS OF IT, LORD!!!!~

The will to succeed, and the need for desired companionship just needs to be there.

Like, I need "motivational serum," or something.

Sigh...I need a cigarette, except I don't smoke. :borg:

*shrug*

Just my petty experience as an apathetic and highly parasitical schlub, but the first thing you need for motivation is not to ask for it. Just decide to be motivated. Set yourself goals. And then reach them. What's that got to do with Will T. Riker? Well, he had career troubles. He had opportunities that arose. But he didn't want them; he wanted to just remain where he was. He was a sedentary being who had fought his way to his safe spot and was going to cling on come hell or high admirals.

1. I don't know what time of day it is where you live. If it's early enough, turn off the computer, now, and go out to local convenience stores etc. or wherever you think you might apply for a temporary job. If it's late, do that tomorrow.
2. Ask. At the earliest possible convenience.

Moping solves nothing. Only action. Riker was only indecisive when he conflicted on what he should do. When he knew there was one right solution, he applied it immediately.

Riker was stupid and oblivious, which allowed him to be self-confident regardless of whether he deserved to be. Stop being so self-aware. Be more mindless. Have an unwarranted sense of entitlement. That's Riker.

Seriously, that shit really does work for people. I've seen any number of idiots who get ahead simply because they're too dumb to realize what losers they are. :D

PS, try not to get fat like him, tho.

Then, what do you suggest I do for my Predicaments #1 and #2?

And, please don't be giving me no advice like the way Hillary Clinton would be passing along to Barack Obama. I mean, real advice here. Preferably, based on your own personal experiences or that of some people you knew in the past.

Thanks.

I run at the gym 5 times a week, and do situps on those days I go to the gym, as well. I watch what I eat, but there are days when I have slipups, though. But, I always get back on the running machine to makeup for it.

I just wish I could motivate myself to take care of and handle Predicaments #1 and #2 like the way I go to the gym, nowadays. It must be my one-track mind, here. I need a "Three-Track Mind!"

These kinds of threads are more lounge type threads, and they don't really belong in the TNG forum.

If you would like me to move this to a lounge, PM me and I'll take care of it. In the meantime, I'm going to close it.
