Whatever happened to Starship Exeter?

Well what do you know...

I stand corrected..

Killing the love interest is right out of the BONANZA playbook. It's a tired trope. I toyed with it and dropped it.

Well, I completely disagree. A story where a secondary character is introduced only to die at the end can bring out tremendous insight into a primary character.

I give you this exemple:

I usually dismiss about 95% of all TNG episodes as merely adequate writing-wise (sorry), but this episode and especially the performance by Michael Dorn was cinema gold. And made me a fan of Dorn's.

Well, Maurice was more specific than "having a secondary character die," he was talking about introducing a love-of-the-week and killing the character off. I entirely agree with him - it's beyond cliches, usually manipulative when it's not just lazy. COTEOF is a notable exception.

It sort of makes sense, personality wise. They were made for each other, narcissistically speaking of course.

^^^There are so many different behaviors, just as there are with mammals. What are you taking about?

Sorry, I have been away for awhile. Is there any sort of ETA on Act IV?

The 7th anniversary of principal photography slipped by in July and I was just wondering...

...and so the ship was destroyed entering the distubance with a loss of all hands. All that remained was the bridge, which was restored and used on the destroyer, AJAX.

The End.

So there.

Maurice:

I know you've got a big challenge on your hands trying to edit Act IV using the existing footage -- pickup shots no longer being an option.

You're busy with work and other projects, too (I saw you in action on the Polaris set). I appreciate your efforts and hope that TTI can be completed.
