Whatever happened to Starship Exeter?

Now the website at unitedworlds.net is down and has been for several days. Anyone know anything about that? (I'm hoping it means they're preparing to release Act IV!!!)
`

It's not down but you can't get there from here.

Do this:

http://www.starshippolaris.com

There's a "forums" link on the menu there that takes you to the BBS.

If for some reason your browser doesn't show the forums link - and there's an intermittent problem with that today that I'm working on which seems to affect some IE browsers (of course) -
then do http://www.starshippolaris.com/forums/index.php .

Hmmm... maybe it's just a hiccup this morning, but I can't connect to either of the Exeter websites, and they were working last week.

Any particular thread where we may find this elusive working link?

Drop Jimm a line - I'm sure it's an oversight; it's happened once before. I talked to him last week about the show.

The links in my post above should work for accessing the forums at www.starshippolaris.com. They've nothing to do with the two Exeter domains (www.starshipexeter.com and www.exeterstudio.com ).

We are going into a concentrated effort to finish the episode within a few months. I can't give you a date certain and I can't promise that we won't hit a snag that drags the process out - it has happened before - but work's in progress and today it's looking good. :techman:

It's quiet in this forum just now.

Anyway it's been a few months, well about 6 weeks, are we there yet?

We've completed about half of the remaining effects shots during these weeks - largely due to the hard work of Michael Struck and the folks at Neo Fx - which is a real good pace. There's still a little editing work, and the final sound mix...I'm not sure what else. But the finish line is finally in sight, only four years later than we first announced.

I have been holding off all this time to watch it in its entirety, I was 36 back then, I will hopefully get to see the whole thing before I hit 40 in November.

Your new avatar is awesome btw.

Encouraging words, thanks for sharing the news. Plus, I've heard a lot of good things about Neo Fx.

And Mallory...since you are in Oregon as well, I have heard good things about you...we probably need to get together before we release our Animated Episodes so you can get a preview.

Beer at the Road House in the near future?

I'm battling some health issues at the moment, but once those are behind me and I'm back to work, then hell yeah.

Neo-f/x, I would like to refer your website.

My boyfriend is putting together a short film he did some time ago for film festivals, and I know he talked about needing or wanting some effects. (I'll have to check with him).

As for Exeter, I'm waiting to see 'the end' myself...

Mallory,

Get well...I am buying the first round...

Mayweather,

No problem...we aren't cheap, but we are well worth it ;)

Nice to hear there's been some good progress. I'm still looking forward to watching this story straight through. :bolian:

It's been a while since I saw a cut of Act Four, but I have to say my favorite moment is when they confront the Tressaurian they're holding in the brig, and when Richards reveals the big twist, and the lizard rips off his face to reveal Dennis Bailey, yelling, "And I'd have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for your darned Ensign!" Classic.

Hmm. That sets up the scene where Cutty and Garrovick just kick the living shit out of me until I'm coughing up blood. We figure that as a viral moment, destined to show up in a number of TrekBBS avatars.
