How about one better. Join Starfleet with your spouse to be, get service aboard the Enterprise and have Kirk perform the marriage. I'd go with that one.

The worst best-man choice by far would be Spock Just check out this poll to see what I mean.

Which also shows that Urban's McCoy is just as much of a self-defeating choice as Pine's Kirk. I'd advise someone who poses less competition, such as Neelix or Quark. You don't want to be upstaged at your own wedding, after all.

But Quark is the one that would actually be trying to get into the bride's pants. Sure, he might not be successful*, but still... it could get very uncomfortable. Better ask Rom instead of Quark.

If Kirk turned up as the best man at my wedding, it would be because:

1. My husband-to-be had second thoughts and wanted to commit suicide. Everybody knows that the groom at any wedding Kirk attends ends up dead.

2. Somebody had a life insurance policy on my husband-to-be and figured Kirk being at the wedding would be the perfect way to kill him (the groom) without being suspected. Kirk just has that way of always attracting trouble...

So, no, I wouldn't want Kirk at my wedding.

I'd much rather have Scotty, thankyouverymuch. He could play the bagpipes!
